Lowe - one of the UK's worst ever chairmen?
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Tamesaint's topic in The Saints
Ok all, here goes. Stop confusing what Lowe did. He did not gamble our future in the Premiership by paying stupid wages and transfer fees. He also had big wage reductions for after relegation (as someone on here said he didn't??!!). He got us St Mary's (to a degree). He delivered us Wembley and 8th place. However... He also got us relegated, and partook is some money saving schemes that just didn't work. He was arrogant and obnoxious (but most chairman are). But... As far as I'm concerned this club was spoilt by Wilde and his cowboys. -

Yeah, I remember all those £15m signings... -
It's a shame, but in AP we trust.

Nissan 300ZX - Chav or not..?
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in Motoring Forum
Cheers guys, especially Ponty. Agree that when the Turbo goes it's bye bye!! Just going to have a look around and see what's available (mid 90's Jap). -
Ok, here goes. I've got 3k to spend on a car as mine decided to give up the ghost, and so I'm looking around for something quite nice to drive, relatively fast etc, and I cam across the 300ZX. Certainly quick enough, but, is it chavvy? I am not chavvy at all but don't want to buy a car that is. I would only get the standard car without mods. Other than that, any ideas?

Exactly...

Brilliant signing, like a rich mans Cureton or Forster (but with more pace). Better than David Healy for me too. ****ing impressed to be fair.

Soccer Saturday build up thread
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Nineteen Canteen's topic in The Saints
19C, did he not explain what has happened in the serialisation of the book? He explained he knew it was wrong, and he shouldn't have done it, so what else need he apologise for? If he was held out of SSN, then that was a programme decision, so any sort of awkward situation wouldn't appear, surely. -
Our 2nd goal vs Bristol Rovers

Oh god, an ITKer. -
Agreed, I'd love a trip to Wembley. The amazing thing is we'd sell out our allocation if we got there.

I don't think he needs help positioning, his positioning is fine. I didn't see him get dragged centrally. The issue was he was showing them outside. The issue is when 2 on 1, you have to try to cover the man outside and the potential of the man cutting inside. I'm sorry but without support you can't do that. And by the way, if you're to play an effective 4-3-3 you still have to have cover for the full backs, whether this is through the team converting to a 4-4-2 when the opposition have the ball (which is usually done), or dropping the DM in as an auxilary second man on the side. Either way, your theory smacks of naivity and/or ignorance. You can choose which. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong...

your current favourite saints player
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Patrick Colleter. -
Utter rubbish. For those who thought he was at fault for their goals, as a LB, he needs protection and needed Mellis to push their fullback back in line with their defence. You can't blame a defender for having 2 pacey right sided players if he has to deal with both of them. Because of this it also meant he couldn't push forward as he was being pinned back.
