Has anyone noticed a change...
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
The thing is , I am only 25 so don't remember the 80's etc, and when I properly got into Saints we had a good few years (97 onwards). It's just been very difficult for me. I do get SOG's point, and it is nothing like a terminak illness, and I would not ever compare it to one, but jesus it still hurt! -
Yeah, but the people are ***ts.

Bamboozle on C4. Legendary!

...in their own lives this season? Over the last few years nearly every weekend has been spoilt by the fact that we were so rubbish. We'd lose, I'd be in a mood, and it would be another poor weekend. I was slightly ashamed to be a Saints fan, especially after the incidents against Charlton and Burnley last year. But since the Summer, the appointment of Pardew, the investment in players, and most of all the recent run of 13 games, I am happy and proud to be a Saints fan again. I am enjoying my weekend, and am looking forward to every game with growing anticipation. It's just a shame that I got a new job in London and as such can't make as many home games as I'd wish to. Anyway, has anyone else felt their personal circumstances and lives change since the Summer? Is it bad that my life has been affected so much?

Personally I'm more worried that you're using CEEFAX. I mean Jesus man, what is it, 1992. Have we just signed David Speedie too?

Nexus was a big poster then as well. What's happened with GM, I used you really enjoy his posts?

He used to post on Saints Forever back in the day (2004 time).

Oh bugger, forgot about that little rule. Erm, I was talking about Joachim Loew. Phew, that was close.
-
Do you reckon his old guard of PR people still post on here?

Cracking player now, he really is starting to remind me of Xabi Alonso. Shame I can't get to as many games as I like. Perhaps he was a parting gift from Mr Lowe...

Competition: My advice to Alan Pardew is ...

...To not read anything on this forum. And if he does, to not take any notice of anything. God forbid the people on here get their way!! -
Can you go 2 hours without food or drink?
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I think the point is, for a lot of people, it is part of the matchday experience. I sometimes do, and sometimes don't. If we had nicer beers I'm sure more people would too. -
He'll never make it as a good AM, he's too lightweight. I think we should have taken the 750k we were offered in the Summer. L1 quality at best. Don't you just love the difference 6 months and fickle fans make?

2-0, ffs. -
Nope, just turns out they're a bunch of ****s. Deanovski, in reply to earlier, it is the thread that everyone is referring to.

Ok, I will probably get lambested for this one...
Dibden Purlieu Saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Yes, but he's sat on the bench in a league that is akin to the Championship bar 3 sides. and it puts him in the shop window. And we're going places. If we got waigo on loan, who played 8 times last season for Fiorentina in a better league, then why not? -

And I spelt lambasted incorrectly. -
...But what do you reckon for a sneaky £1.5m bid for Freddy Adu in the January window. Currently sat on the bench for Belensenses in Portugal, on loan from Benfica. Wants to play in the Premier League. There is no better shop window for him than the lower English divisions. Pards, give him a go.

Deanovski. Please do this for us. Go through the last few pages of posts, and quote every single wrong statement made, and then comment on it. Their are posters badmouthing hois signings, saying Antonio won't play, that he'll ruin players like Lambert, that we won't even stay up. Let's shove this right down their clueless ****ing faces.

You ought to learn how to spell. Sorry, that was really childish. I am loving how Saints are playing at the moment, but I am really finding it hard to get carried away. Once bitten, twice shy kind of thing. Maybe Alpine is trying to temper expectations...

Look at the respective populations of them and you'll see why. Personally, it depends what music scene you're into, but if you're into house Southampton has a mix of the best house DJ's in Britain.

Hopefully he'll do well. IPWT.

It is the same in any team, it's not just a Saints thing. Society now runs off of a blame culture, so we always need someone to be responsible...
