  1. I don't know too much about him, but isn't it refreshing that the US has a president that doesn't make daily headlines showing what an awful cunt he is?
  2. Imagine that... He would basically be an unfunny combination of Alf Garnett and Al Murray's pub landlord.
  3. Hmmm. There must be a dividing line somewhere between 'conned' and 'thick as pig-shit'.
  4. Oh dear. Having trouble differentiating between "might not" and "will not" are you? The rest of Tajjuk's post was actually very well informed, using official figures from the refugee council. Maybe you should have a read of their website. It will help to dispel some of the many false impressions about refugees and people seeking asylum that you appear to have. Like this one: And this one: As for the last point in your quote from the gov website, about a safe third country being one that would not send people on to another country where they may be harmed... do they mean a country like Rwanda perhaps?
  5. Interesting. Never realised that. Everyone around me assumed it was for offside, and I remember thinking to myself "what's that then?" and not wanting to embarrass myself by asking someone! 🤣
  6. I remember having a goal disallowed and not having the faintest idea why because I had never even heard of the offside rule before that.
  7. I think so. This was before the days of transfer windows and he had only just recently signed (around the same time as Micky Adams). I was there in the Milton end for this. It's the moment I truly discovered my love of football and the emotions it can stir. I was 14 and had only started going to watch games earlier that season (first match was a 2-1 ET defeat to Luton in the league cup), and we were really poor for the most part. When Razor smashed in that penalty to end a winless run of 22 games, the celebrations in the terrace around me were absolutely mental.
  8. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/nov/01/labour-refers-suella-braverman-to-financial-watchdog-over-email-leak "Labour refers Suella Braverman to financial watchdog over email leak Exclusive: ‘Growth visas’ policy leak could have influenced markets and breached market abuse laws, letter to FCA argues"
  9. Yeah probably, but with more emphasis on windfall taxes on energy companies. And on that note, I see BP have today reported profits almost treble what they made for the same period last year.
  10. See, this again highlights the point @tajjuk made that the majority of the media in this country is heavily right leaning. Their published plan is available on their website, and promoted by them as much as possible on all social media channels. But most of the TV and print media won't bother reporting it.
  11. Given what Palace paid for him, and that Gao was still in charge at the time, it's no wonder we didn't get him and ended up with a much cheaper option.
  12. They released a detailed plan in August explaining exactly how they plan to address the cost of living crisis, which was supported by numerous senior figures in big business. But something about the tone of your post suggests to me that you wouldn't be interested in reading it anyway. Then Truss came along and well and truly fucked the entire country with her utterly deranged plans that literally everyone with any economic sense could see were a recipe for disaster.
  13. One of the very first things Rishi did after taking office was to stand up in the HoC and claim that Braverman reported the 'error' immediately. Some details already emerging which suggest this wasn't the case, and that she didn't actually report it at all because it was the receiving MPs office that notified the cabinet office, not hers. Less than a week into the job and the new PM could be facing an inquiry as to whether or not he mislead the house. Dear oh fucking dear. What a shitshow.
  14. Good news for the Amazon at least. Didn't Bolsonaro only beat Lula last time by having him falsely imprisoned?
  15. The biggest weakness is at CM. That's where we are consistently surrendering any control of matches and failing to turn defence into attack.
  16. We might have done, but then again, Palace might have scored more than once with better finishing too. All ifs, buts and maybes. Even if Adams had buried just one of his chances, it still wouldn't have excused how utterly gash our first half performance was. You cannot play that badly for an entire half and expect to rely on a clinical striker to get you out of trouble and take some points. Not in the PL anyway.
  17. Fuck me, did he really say this? Wow.
  18. Dear Ralph, Ibrahima Diallo is not, never has been, and never will be a competent DM. Please don't ever, ever play him there again. You would genuinely be better off starting with only ten men.
  19. Believe me, the first half was utterly horrific. Couldn't string 3-4 passes together, constantly gave it away in dangerous areas and basically couldn't get out of our own half.
  20. Well there it is. Yet another 1-0 win gifted to a poor team. This one is all on Ralph. I can see what he was thinking in the first half, but for love of fucking God man - pleeeeeeease will you stop persisting with this failed experiment of Diallo at DM. How could you not see it wasn't working and should have been changed sooner?
  21. He's doing alright though, whatever actual position you want to call it.
  22. What? He's an actual winger FFS.
  23. Djenepo and Edozie on for Perraud and Moi.
  24. Close from JWP.
