Zero shots on target, at home against the team with the worst away record in the league. But we got a flashy lightshow, so it's all fine.
-
The total lack of quality in the final third is just horrifying. How can any professional players at any level possibly be this bad? It's just woeful.
-
Fuck me they are all over us. Forest - who have been utter gash away from home all season - are playing us off the park. The last 3 games have been far worse than anything we witnessed under RH. We've got no shape, no discernible system, no goal threat, and no fucking idea how to stick the ball in the opponent's net and keep it out of ours. In all my years of watching Saints I have never seen us as consistently bad as we are now. Even the Poortvliet/Wotte years were better than this. If Nathan Jones was the answer, what the fuck was the question?

Great. ABK is injured again. No doubt he'll be out for another 2 months and we'll have to watch Lyanco do a poor impression of a footballer while he's recovering.
-
Doesn't look like Lyanco will be coming off because ABK looks injured again.
-
Forest fans singing "How shit must you be, we're winning away". The answer to that is: completely and utterly as shit as you could possibly imagine.
-
Oh fuck off Lyanco you stupid prick.
-
Big let off. They should have scored there. We were napping and gave them a free shot.
-
That was never, ever a foul.
-
Great to see Lavia back in the starting lineup. We've missed him so badly. No idea how Lyanco continues to get picked ahead of DCC. Still not sure how Ely starts every game and Stu gets left on the bench. Other than that, looks about as good as we can muster at the moment.

Nope. I've tried, but I can't think what possible relevance this has to a thread about what is wrong with the UK.

He's got a second now. 5-0.
-
Caleb Watts has scored for Morecambe with minutes of coming on at HT. Currently beating Burton 4-0.

He is. Watched Everton loads last season and he was appalling. Terrible positional sense and he was at fault for a good number of goals they conceded.
-
We had players who could play that position - A Armstrong and Mara. Granted they would not have been as effective, but bringing one of them on and staying with the formation that waa looking OK, instead of the very limited Perraud and changing the shape completely, would have been a much better option IMO. As soon as he made that change, we surrendered the momentum to Fulham and gave up any hope of winning the game. It was a bad call on Jones' part.
-
He did. He changed the defensive shape yet again when Edozie needed to go off, when all he needed to do was make a like for like sub and stick with the formation that had been working OK up to that point. It's no wonder our defenders all look so lost and confused all the time when the manager keeps re-shuffling them multiple times during a game. Overall it was a better team performance today than against Brighton, but there still doesn't appear to be any discernible plan or system from NJ. I really wanted to give him a chance despite his apparent lack of pedigree, but the early signs are pretty worrying. Would we really have done any worse in the last 3 games if we had stuck with Ralph? Can't see it myself.

So depressing. At least there looked to be more effort and desire today, and we looked to be fairly competitive once Stu came on, but we can't keep relying on pens and FKs from Prowsey for goals. At some point soon someone else has to stick the ball in the fucking net from open play. Really don't see any way out of this now. Can't score, can't stop conceding comical goals, can't stay in the PL.
-
What the actual fuck was Lyanco doing there?
-
Why oh why did NJ change the formation when we were playing well? Edozie needed to be hooked but the shape was good so why not just do a straight swap with AArmstrong or Mara? As soon as we we changed it, we lost all momentum and gave the advantage back to Fulham,. The goal was inevitable after that.
-
We were playing well until he swapped Edozie for Perraud and changed the formation again. Since then we've been backs to the wall.
-
WTF was Ely doing there to not get rid of that and concede a corner?
-
I can only assume there must be some sort of fitness issue with him that prevents him from playing 90 mins, and NJ (and Ralph before him) think it's best to play him from the bench rather than from the start

This season's 3rd kit...
