My friend, Matthew Le Tissier was one of the most talented football players of his generation. There will never be another like him in my time. Unfortunately, Guly and Le Tissier can never be mentioned in the same sentence.

Agree.

See, the biggest headache as a supporter for me currently is GULY! The guy has a touch of class about him, and when he gets it right, he looks smooth, slick and a catalyst for the team. Problem I personally have is that some times he looks that sluggish and off form that it makes you want to pull your hair out. Consistency is his weakness. Would I have Maynard in place of him, yes I probably would but I think I would then miss Guly's link up play. Other than this final striker spot, I would get a right back in to compete with Fraser. Clyne would've been ideal. Although Butterfield still has a wicked cross on him, reckon hes getting on like connolly. Finally, at centre back, think we will get a loan in for cover and in summer re-assess. All in and told, we have hands down the best squad in the league now! UP THE SAINTS!!!!

no, thats what i mean. They havent got a clue!! Our forward line over theres any day of the week!

sky reporting vaz te AND maynard both heading to west ham! what a joke...

.................Davis Fraser....Fonte...Martin....Fox Punch...Cork....Morgan...Lallana ..........Lambert...Lee If Chaplow is fit to start, swap him for Cork until 60 or 70 mins. Similarly why not give Lee a run out for 60 odd mins and then perhaps replace with Guly
-
So according to that reckoning, we will have Lambert, Sharp, Lee and Guly. Wheres the need for another?
-
We absolutely don't need any more strikers.
-
Big deal... Who aren't they after? Soon they'll have more strikers than defenders. Yawn...
-
Good luck for rest of the season.

Would love it if we got Pearce. If not just to wind up the blue skate wums on here!
-
I thought we played a bit better AFTER he got subbed against Leicester. Against better opposition, they just play around him. Whenever he tries to pass it like cork or Morgan, he's forever losing the ball. Bit one paced and really lacks quality. Our captain maybe, but our poorest midfielder. Like someone else said, Morgan is the future. Hammond won't make prem.
-
Now now alpine. He was merely making a point just like anyone else is entitled to. Try and keep the sensible hat on. No need for this vulgarity.
-
Questionable post alert!
-
Morgan all day long!
-
Don't know. Morgan tackles hard and is no pushover. With quality you keep the ball and as such the need to win it back becomes a receding concern!
-
Good shout. Morgan and cork in middle. Chaplow to get 20 mins from bench in comeback. Start with lambert and Connolly and bring lee on for last half hour. Back four of Fraser, Fonte, Martin and fox.
-
have to disagree. Think we will start to see less of Hammond now in the (hopeful) run up to prem. Definately can't see him as a regular starter that is for sure. Agree with the ainticipated rotation though. We have a special squad now.
-
Spot on!
-
Great hope that he will fit right in to our camp. Very heartening to find a player not putting money before all else in current age. Welcome aboard Saint Billy!
-
Hammond will never get ahead of Chaplow or Cork. Morgan is a different type of player and for that reason, Hammond misses out. In terms of cover, Cork can play cb or r/back if needed as can fox. Whilst the 5 sub rule applies, thats my team.

Do you feel your youth was unfulfilled in respect of attention?

one of the most enjoyable nights on saintweb for a while. so much positivity and all the doom and gloom merchants either gagged or gone for a hike. nice.

Upson would potentially be a great signing. If he can get back to fitness, then form will inevitably come. The calibre he has must not be overlooked. Adkins, crosby and the team could and i think would get him playing to his best again. Would love it if we got him.
