  1. Rickie at home to Huddersfield was a beauty. Lallana hit some nice curlers against Bompey and Shrewsbury
  2. Congratulations, you beat Daggers 4-3 at home and Swindon 2-1. Teams we beat 4-0 and 4-1 respectively. You will play open football and try to beat us, no question. Over this season teams that have done that against us have been beaten convincingly - Huddersfield at home, Oldham away, Bournemouth home and away, Posh and Blackpool. The games we really struggle in are home (and a few away) games where the teams come and 'Park the bus' - Rovers on Saturday, Notts County, Walsall, Brentford and, dare I say it, Brighton. We tend to get frustrated and vulnerable, but thankfully on Saturday we stayed tight, kept at it and got our just rewards. The only sure thing about Saturday's match is that it will be a cracker!
  3. Their players on LKO
  4. It's difficult against any team that parks the bus, but 23 shots on goal isn't a massive struggle. If we play well I can't see you getting anything from the game either.
  5. Poor distribution and getting beaten at your near post every other week apparently does though.
  6. Still think Richard Lee was robbed of the GK spot. On the Huddersfield forum someone described Fonte as 'Donkey' who didn't deserve to be in the team. HA.
  7. Common sense on his tweets and what Claus has said would suggest it is him.
  8. Nope

  10. I say that in comparison to Lallana, AOC, Forte and Barnard. He's not slow, but I don't think he utilises his pace. Like today, he'd get the ball and then slow down to walking pace or stop. I can't remember during the game when he really did a surging run forwards.
  11. I have slated Guly for a few weeks now (still rightly so IMO), but I have never seen him as a winger, he doesn't have the pace or delivery as such. Centre-forward he's a decent player - doesn't need the blistering pace but needs vision and a fairly decent finish, and he can do both. From the wings he seem to struggle with these things. It's just been an unlucky month in terms of losing both our outstanding wingers and Guly being forced out wide.
  12. Brighton won't beat us, whatever team they put out. Can't imagine they'll use Huddersfield at home (their last at the Withdean) to try out younger players.
  13. Hopefully for saturday more players in the team will put in poor performances, with the faint hope of being able to convert a chance.
  14. Morgan is back in full training. I reckon he'll be back for Hartlepool. Chaplow only had a minor knock so should be back for the weekend. Harding would be on the bench anyway. Lallana was probably just rested for Brighton (close call..!)
  15. Connolly looked good when he came in, which is a bit of a relief after what happened to Barnard. Guly is lazy and poor. Forte was better than he looks to have come across on the radio. Any idea why Jaidi went off? Getting done for pace?
  16. Good work, probs need a flag design sorted for when he gets back to you and potential companies to do it with?
  17. Will see next week if he'll be able to take any part in the rest of the season. But said he's young and needs taking care of. I really can't see him playing again this season
  18. Sounds like Lallana will start, Chaplow probably on the bench. AOC sounds doubtful for the rest of the season, but sounds as though Morgan will be back in the next couple of games
  19. And a similar name to Floriana, where Nwoke currently is. But both players' last names start with N, coincidence? No chance.
  20. Can he play this season if signed from outside England outside the transfer window?
  21. They are 10/1 to beat us!
  22. Agree that is should be VERY big. Could be passed round the stands just before kick-off and then draped somewhere.
  23. 'Thanks You Markus' was probably more relevant back when he took us over. 'Win It For Markus' may have been more apt back in Augut following his death. By the Walsall game our season looks to be decided, play-offs or promotion. 'Markus Liebherr, Forever a Saint' is best IMO
  24. Draw away at Walsall, beat us and things could get interesting. No doubt there would be a pitch invasion. But they won't beat us, so no need to worry.
  25. Bart Butters Fonte Jaidi Dickson Lallana Gobern Hammond Forte Lambert Barnard Southampton 7 Bristol Rovers 1
