  1. Keith has no interest in coming back.
  2. I'd like to call you a patronising ****, but I wont because that would be wrong. You'd rather we invested our own time into reproducing something wordpress does perfectly, dont be a **** (damn, i did)
  3. This will never EVER happen.
  4. As many of you have hopefully spotted, the main http://www.saintsweb.co.uk website is now live. As part of our balanced approach, we feel that it is important to offer our users the opportunity to provide content to the main website. As such, we will be setting up a "The Soap Box" section. This will allow chosen full members from this forum the chance to air their views. "The Soap Box" will have a new post each Monday evening. So what are the rules? Well it's quite straight forward, you must ensure that your article isn't libellous in any way, avoid silly name-calling etc and that, most of all, it's well written! There are no guidelines in terms of your angle, we will not censor your views, as long as it remains within the confines of the rules of this forum and the guidelines above, in fact we look forward to vastly opposing opinions. If you are writing for us, we expect the article to be provided by 9pm Sunday, so that we can place it on the saintsweb website Monday evening. So how do you apply? Simply send an email to webmaster@saintsweb.co.uk ensuring the subject line is "The Soap Box Application". Do not bother writing an article until you have been assured of a place, article writers will be given at least a weeks notice that they have to write an article for the following Sunday deadline, this will ensure that what you write is as up-to-date as possible. Thanks Steve and Baj
  5. For anyone else I would.
  6. Steve is the main editor providing 99% of the content. I will provide non-saints related articles/news, as well as tech support for the site. As for future help, we're playing it by ear for now but are always open to suggestions.
  7. Since CITC has a reputation as a coherent poster, I didn't even read his article, and that's the truth. I had no idea of the content, other than trusting not to write something that was illegal or personally offensive to me. No, I suspect you were banned because you breached the forum rules. Since I dont hold personal grudges I cannot remember exactly why you were banned, tho im sure the other admins would. Contrary to what you believe, users are only ever banned for breaching the rules, and there's a continuous theme of banned users blaming their bans on "properganda" because they cannot simply accept that they broke the forum rules. In fact if you looked at the history of who we have banned, who will it has been from both sides of all key arguments, we don't ban views, only those who break rules. As I've said above, I didn't even read his column, therefore there was no editorial process.
  8. Well I completely agree that we should have a set of columnists who have the full spectrum of opinions, myself and granty have already discussed this... who we choose tho is up for argument... at the moment no one has applied.
  9. Sundance, without wanting to point out the obvious, that's CITC's column, a seperate piece from the main saintsweb editorial... you do understand that right? We have columns to let others express their views, we are open to applications from other people for columns and as long as their articles are legible then we are happy display them. Once again, CITC's column is NOT the view of saintsweb, its his column
  10. Gears of War... ..anyone else?
  11. Two properly good goals for Hull as well, whilst Arsenals was a scrappy OG.

    Nada Tada

I found the explanation of the way the American banking system works fascinating... and scary
  13. Since images arent processed by the webserver, but by the users browser, it's got **** all to do with how powerful the server is and your £5. It's a usability thing to keep it at 10, mainly to stop people from spamming dozens of smilies in a post, or causing massive posts by posting hundreds of photos on one post.
  14. Here's hoping, after you...
  15. Well. facebook only had Joanna Whitton's, both in Nottingham, and one of those had a friend with the same name as the (alleged) murderer (David Heiss). Kinda narrows it down...
  16. So this fella that stabbed someone else to death (allegedly) over a forum (can imagine it actually), well BBC have run a new story about him leaving a message on his victims facebook page, and they list the GF's name. If you look her up on facebook, then view her friends, sure enough you can see the fella in question... http://www.new.facebook.com/inbox/?compose&id=1204152676 Surprised facebook havent taken his profile down...
  17. A very sour kraut.
  18. was originally a penny arcade sketch
  19. Without pointing out the obvious then, if its for business use then those rates dont apply
  20. On the keyboard issue, my HTC TYTN has a slide out keyboard and its AWESOME. I've used the iPhone, and whilst it accomplishes what its trying to do, it's not even comparible to the keyboards on teh HTC's, on which I can type very quickly. I've had my TYTN for a year now and wouldnt swap it for anything. (except perhaps a TYTNII)
  21. Marco, everyone else on the forum picked up on CabbageFaces dull, repetitive humour in 2002 and stopped falling for it, perhaps time you stopped too?
  22. Out to sea, and it was still fairly shallow (just like her)

    This Reading goal

Disagree, it doesn't effect amateur cricket that the pro's are able to use video technology.
  24. Well its a really odd resolution (by which you usually tell if its "HD" or not) The number usually checked is the number of vertical pixels, most are 1080 or 720... yours is 480, which by comparison is the highest res on a wii (i think). Whether you could class this as "hd" or not is debatable, but according to this link http://www.hdtvinfoport.com/HDTV-Resolution.html the TV is very much "SD" and not "HD" (where S is Standard) Digital TV - SDTV: * 480i - 704x480 interlaced * 480p - 704x480 progressive Digital-HDTV: * 720p - 1280x720 progressive * 1080i - 1920x1080 interlaced * 1080p - 1920x1080 progressive
