He is good a getting the best out of mediocre players the last two seasons has proved that beyond doubt I also admire his positivity even when we've played as badly as against Sunderland he focuses on the positives and is upbeat like we nearly won. Tactics don't seem to be his main strength and he seemed neither to have a clear strategy at the start of the Sunderland game or the finish when it was clear mayuka and lambert wasn't working he waited till eighty mins to make a change cant help but feel Adkins puts the pretty passing game ahead of everything else and we have no plan b even when that isn't working do you feel Adkins can mix it up when it's not working or is he a little one dimensional?

exactly plus the fact that if we are indeed heading back to the championship neither j rod or Ramirez are going to stay and currently I can't see us getting more than five million back for Ramirez I can't see any premiership clubs showing an interest on current form and j rod is best suited to the championship

Not an attack the guy obviously is a talented footballer but so far it's only been glimpses of talent lots of showboating but gives the ball away far too often! Can you see him going on a goal run? So far I can't and can't help feeling we paid way over the odds. Maybe he is one for the future but is that what we need now?

This is a massive pivotal game it will decide wether we can indeed push on or wether we are destined to be sucked into the mire of avoiding the bottom three and nothing else! A win Would send out a clear message to the teams around us anything less than a draw is unacceptable in the situation we are in the table is so tight and we need to beat our closet rivals ie Sunderland, Wigan etc

That is indeed true some on here a few weeks back stated that they couldn't wait till we are back in the championship more equal league and enjoyed seeing us win more games, they seem to have gone quiet. I wouldn't see it as too much of a disaster as I can see us bouncing back but most people know the premiership is the place we need to be if we are going to progress as a club and establish are 26 year reign again

Who labelled him trigger happy? No one on here has said that I merely said he will be advised against being another abromovich as that's not the way to go for continuity

Hopefully cortese's advisors will tell him that being trigger happy isn't always the answer to progression, maybe Chelsea will learn that lesson. I'm confident that should we stay up Adkins will be judged on next season and next season only

All three of our keepers our currently championship level at best, boruc has played at a higher level but is nowhere near the fitness or skill level he was at and has a rumoured bad attitude which leaves us with two keepers that can neither communicate with their defence, deal with crosses, or get down to shots quick enough. We do have a goalkeeping problem people are in denial
