Agreed he isn't crap but neither is his record that great either in regards to his spending to league position ratio as a poster some time ago showed us the stats. Take away the option to spend money like its going out of fashion and he's distinctly average at best. The problem with number 1 i.e sticking with Adkins is that he clearly isn't a premiership manager we stick with him only to have to ditch him anyway if he got us straight back to the promised land. I like the guy even though he does talk a load of waffle but he's learnt absolutely nothing from his mistakes and repeats them time after time
