  1. It's that bad this board is almost harmonious
  2. We have two of the useless cunts up front.
  3. You'll need a spreadsheet with xG on it.
  4. So hold up, we need a goal. But we don't have an actual striker on the pitch. Right. I'm right aren't I? Am I? Is it me?
  5. No idea why it's Lavia coming off mind. Poor decisions again. Thought this team would look better to be fair but their collective absences from the first team seems to be the only reason I think they're better Let that sink in. Bednarek is one of our better options. Fuck. Me.
  6. For those who've read the Elyounoussi thread, this is who would start in front of him IMO. For clarity, Lyanco would not.
  7. Let's be honest, this is the fault of Selles as much as anyone else. Making the same fucking personnel errors as Jones, and in fact he's actually doing little different except maybe a slight formation change. It's awful sideways football, shit subs and little to no game plan. We played a bereft Chelsea last week where you often get a reaction from players anyway (because it's big opposition) and then staked our prem survival on it. Tit.
  8. They're not COMPLETELY incompetent then.
  9. If nothing else it's highlighted how much we ALL hated Jones; no one has yet suggested we sacked him too soon
  10. No, I say this because of Jones. The two aren't exclusive. Sigh!
  11. Honestly, I think this is the right call by the club, regardless of what I think of Jesse as a coach. His appointment is a potential PR nightmare if nothing else and possibly a footballing one.
  12. He took over Leeds when they were 16th, 2 points above the drop zone. He left them in 17th. He didn't save them, he merely maintained the status quo and then sent them backwards a season later and was somewhat fortunate that ourselves, Everton (who I expect to rally) and Bournemouth were way way way worse.. His previous team have conceded only 2 less than us, and scored 10 more. They haven't improved under him and as a result of his failure to improve them, and with fans increasingly on his back, he was fired. Thus, a failure. Not that hard to comprehend that really, is it? Edit: I see that the term is being reported as short term until the end of the season which I am much happier about than the long term, because, in reality I think we're fucked either way. But at least this gives us some room to manoeuvre come the end of the season and re-assess.
  13. I actually don't disagree with you chap, it certainly won't be mostly of his doing but I don't see any reason from his time at Leeds, or his past record, that suggests he'll bring about any hope either. But, if nothing else, it's just an absolutely guano appointment from the board... Take a punt with an absolute no-hoper, finally sack him 14 days too late, immediately go for another manager who has by all metrics failed in the league. It doesn't scream 'look guys, we listened and learnt our lesson ' and could turn sour quicker than the Jones signing... Which as you rightly alluded to, is the bigger of the two fuck ups.
  14. What's a double Guido Carillo appointment called? Guidos Carillo maybe. Dunno but he'll be it. Championship it is!
  15. Not clear here, whether this argument is in defence of the Marsch appointment or otherwise. Hughes was utter dogshit!
  16. I've heard Gallardo is Peruvian, can anyone confirm this? Does hinge on me giving him my approval for next Saints manager
  17. No, nor I, thanks. I guess some struggle with the English language maybe?
  18. Lol I think that was on mine when in fact what I said was perfectly sensible. Seems he and a few others struggled with the actual words and assumed, incorrectly, that I was suggesting Gallardo was Brazilian... When I wasn't and didn't.
  19. I am well aware of that so you can drop the facepalm bollocks. If you re-read my message I wasn't insinuating he was Brazilian at all, only that he was mentioned as a potential replacement for the Brazil national job but HIS nationality was always seen as a blocker i.e. he was so good with River Plate (and conversely Brazil so underwhelming) that they were possibly going to overlook his nationality.
  20. Gallardo yes, and mostly because he has been named a few times around the Brazil national team setup, but because of his nationality and the fact that Tite was given another chance he wasn't/hasn't given the job... yet! That would be some come down though. Torino manager = no. But he seems the right kind of nut job so I am on board with that. The rest can get in the bin, Marsch, Lampard et al. Rooney less so but he wouldn't be my first choice.
  21. Fucking Marsch? FFS no.
  22. We were really good against City in the cup.... So he never played the same team again.
  23. Give it to Gallardo in the absence of better options. 1. Proven record all be it in a lesser competitive league. 2. Available thus cheaper to 'get', to employ and thus fuck off at the end of the season if he's terrible 3. He's Argie, therefore by extension a world cup winner-ish 4. He's got a cool foreign name. 5. Alacaraz will love it. 6. From the 5 mins YouTube clip I've seen of Plat3 , thus making me an expert of South American football, they play great football. Also whilst we're all giving each other reach arounds for seeing that Jones was an abysmal appointment from the start, I'll add my onion in here too from that fateful day... He was and is proven to be The Guido Carillo appointment I predicted. So all roads lead to Argentina
  24. Honestly, at this point could you just take over?
  25. Was some of the funniest "Number-Wanging" the Forum had seen. Scored 4 goals in his entire career but because he was too shit to start, some thought it was a good goals/game ratio when in fact it just highlighted how unbelievably tosh he was. And the same will become of our dreadful manager.
