Russia has for decades been doing whatever they can to address their population decline including offering passports to every native Russian speaking Slav they can. 120,000 seems a bit shocking but to be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if it is happening. Bit unfair on Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan who are maintaining sanctions despite massive Russian pressure last I saw and refusing to recognise the DPR and LPR. None of the CAR countries are de-facto Russian territories but they do have large economic ties to Russia including thousands of citizens who work in Russia and send money back. It's a rather difficult position to be in I imagine.

Absolutely, worth noting that the Russian MOD was subject to considerable ridicule when they claimed to have destroyed a greater number of planes than Ukraine actually has. Given there are still propaganda shots of Ukraine pilots in flight they still have some form of Air Force though I imagine numbers are indeed greatly reduced.
