  1. Lovely little layoff from Azaz. Larin should score. Good save though.
  2. https://vipsportlive.com/live/sheffield-wednesday-vs-southampton.php Chinese commentary unfortunately Oh no my mistake, it's just Tessem
  3. Hull go 1-0 up 🤣
  4. Leicester losing again, at home Clement is doing a brilliant job at Norwich
  5. A side built around that level of quality would get absolutely slaughtered in the prem. Those players haven’t even made it into the top six of the Championship yet this season. Thinking that half decent, playoff-level Champ players can cut it at the level above is exactly the mistake we made last time. The gulf in pace, power, technique and all round ability between the championship and being competitive in the prem is massive. The last time round the only real prem level quality we had were Ramsdale, KWP, Fernandes and flashes of Dibling. The rest weren’t up to it and that’s why we almost got a record low points total. Look at the squads Forest, West Ham and Spurs have got. They have got levels more talent and depth and one of them is going to get relegated. If we did somehow go up we’d have to do a Sunderland and buy pretty much an entirely new team built around proper Premier league players, not players like Peretz and Fellows.
  6. He can’t afford to lose too much or he’ll disappear completely. Watching that Wolves game yesterday he just looked so tiny in comparison to all the other players. I honestly don’t think it’s possible for someone his size to successfully play centre forward in the prem.
  7. Yeah, he miscontrolled that. You can see him start to try and recover it straight after, then he sees Gomes coming in and moves out of the way instead.
  8. I’d love to see eight so would you mind burying yourself in a lead-lined box that no light, sound or human contact can penetrate please Get someone to dig you up after though 👍
  9. On the back of your Maths book, next to a crude attempt at a drawing of Robocop, obviously At least that's where I always had mine
  10. Sheffield Wednesday are one of those teams who always feel to me like they should be in the top division. This is entirely down to collecting Panini football stickers when I was a kid and having loads of copies of their badge as a shiny sticker on my swaps pile that I couldn't get rid of. I must have had about 10 Sheffield Wednesday shinies at one point, literally couldn't give the bastards away. Applying this scientific criteria more widely, I have decided that Fulham, Brighton, Burnley, Brentford, Bournemouth and Sunderland should be thrown out of the Premier League with immediate effect to be replaced by Sheffield Wednesday, Luton, QPR, Coventry, Wimbledon and Saints.
  11. Him and David Hirst are lethal in that 4-4-2. Big Ron’s really got them organised
  12. Hence Crossley Place, named in his honour, next to Le Tissier Court just off Milton Road where the Dell used to be. But everyone probably knew that
  13. Glad they’re focusing on this rather than sorting out pointless stuff like handball or interfering with play
  14. Saints in great form coming up against an appalling opponent with nothing to play for and several key players out in a must-win fixture. 0-0
  15. Bodø/Glimt The only team in world football with a forward slash in their name FACT
  16. Rusty second favourite to get the gig. It's not for a couple of weeks, that's plenty of time for him to bed in the philosophy and get Rothwell in on loan. Go on Albion, you know you want to
  17. Also worth noting that Bree's goal took a deflection. So four out of the five goals had 'help'. Azaz's was good though 😉 We were very good last night and it was great fun, but it was definitely one of those nights when everything just seemed to go in. But we've had plenty of games where it felt like nothing was going our way, so we were due one of those. And you can't get the rub of the green if you don't create the chances in the first place, so we deserved it.
  18. They both look better because they're so much more comfortable in a back four and both know how to play it. Everyone's clear on what their jobs are. Also, having a proper gobby keeper behind them who, while far from perfect, does shout at people, come for crosses and make saves, makes a big difference. Furthermore, fewer crosses coming in when Welington and Bree are on the pitch as they're both proper full-backs who know how to defend, as opposed to the wide open spaces down the channels of earlier in the season. Bit by bit, Tonda's improved the defence in multiple ways. It's good, I like it.
  19. The end of the poor Christmas period form and the start of the current run of great form maps pretty much directly onto two events: - The end of Armstrong / Archer starting at centre forward, and Stewart / Larin starting instead - Bazunu being replaced by Peretz So it turns out that in the Championship you need a keeper who can make saves and a target man with a physical presence up top. Amazing. However, ditching 3 at the back, bringing Bree back in and replacing Manning with Welington as first choice left back have had a big impact as well. Tonda learnt from that period and changed it, which is the sort of trait you want to see in a manager.
  20. Tonda desperately trying to stay in character during his Sky interview but can't help but keep breaking into a shit-eating grin. Love it. Didn't realise QPR's captain actually got all their players together for a huddle after our fourth went in. Don't see that very often. QPR player also having what looked like a barney with one of their fans at the end. They haven't had a very good night really
  21. I know. I'm being harsh, I just think he's a knob. I feel bad now
  22. Didn't realise Leo is a holy man Either that or he just really, really likes Alex Ostlund
