  1. Well that's that f*cked then.
  2. Conclusive proof today that 6th is a realistic target with no new signings for next season.
  3. What would you let Spudgun nail you from behind to win? That's got to be worth a super cup win.
  4. If you had to choose between being nailed to the wall by a staple gun through you tongue and ball bag and winning the FA cup or having you're stomach opened up by a blunt stanley knife and your intestines fed to you through a straw for a UEFA cup win, which would you chose?
  5. Strange to think our prize money this season could be more than half what our turnover was 3 years ago.
  6. It didn't benefit Leeds. For it to really benefit you you need to do it for several seasons, not just as a one off.
  7. I know there is a champions league spot available but I do find it quit odd why people would chose 4th place in the league over winning a trophy.
  8. Why not do both? We need to aim to do the quadruple. Reach for the moon and all that or something, if we aim to win all 4 we can settle for the champions league title, a top four finish and the league or FA cup.
  9. Chelsea fans are pric*s. why should Benetiz give a f*ck about them after the way they've carried on the whole time he's been there.
  10. Smack Alec? Do you take copious amounts of heroin by any chance?
  11. To be fair I'd hate to talk to me as well if I was made to look as consistently stupid as you do.
  12. I'm not sure what its like these days but when I was a kid it was always the big, quick and strong lads that made all the school teams, the small ones with more skill didn't get a look in. It was all about 'getting rid of it' 'get it long' 'get stuck in' etc. training for my tyro league side usually was a lap of riverside park, dribbling round cones, sprinting and then a 7 a side game. I can only really remember one teacher doing anything with us about technique.
  13. I agree with you, really like the bloke. Ive said a few times before about my pal who was on Saints books in the 90s, Dave Merrington was doing his youth team role then and my pal says he was just a top, top man. Really knowledgable about the game and loved by everyone at the club. Hilarious that a computer addict who uses statstics on a game to rate players would criticise the football knowledge of a guy who developed some of the best players this country had in the 90s.
  14. The label says 'Tuna in oil' or 'Tuna in water'. It is a relief to know that I can check the contents to confirm that a tin of tuna contains fish to eliminate any doubt.
  15. And quite right too. Luckily when I brought my monthly tuna supplies this month I checked the can and was delighted to see it contained fish. You cannot underestimate the relief I felt at purchasing the correct product.
  16. I think you'll find it was because he said with no new signings we could finish 6th. Point me to the part of the interview where Morgan said this, as i must be missing that and seeing things when he said we'll sign quality players.
  17. What would you say the main differences are between how English kids are coached and the other nations you mention?
  18. Which is the least you could expect for a £250m outlay, yes?
  19. In the same period that Moyes has been at Everton, Wenger has broken even whilst spending around £250m.
  20. Based on his £75m they've made a £47m profit from transfers in his time there. Whilst maintaining a consistent top 8 finishes. Overrated and not shrewd though.
  21. What about signings like Jagalka, Cahill, Baines, Lescott, Arteta and Howard whose combined fees were less than Jordan Henderson? Spent £75m sold players for £122m, with 6 top 8 finishes in the last 7 seasons. Find me another manager with such a good, consistent league record who has also made a profit on transfers.
  22. Yeah, he's a terrible manager isn't he.
  23. You're doing it in the right place, they look set to dominate international football for a few years. Loads of really good young players, I think evert midfielder and attacker in their last squad was under 25, with the exception of Podolski. They are saying Mario Gotze is the best talent for a generation.
  24. Good for you. Do you to think tis slightly odd that we should be aiming for a 6-9th placed finish and a cup run yet teams achieving this are described as having dull and mediocre seasons?
