* sticks this one in the "they said man would never walk on the moon" file*

How much have they offered for him?
-
Don't disagree. Without try to get too excited about seeing him play well in a friendly he seems to be the sort of player we were all claiming England never have this time last month.
-
The first time I've seen him play today and what a cracking young player he is. Seems to have it all. Athletic, good on the ball, intelligent and full of energy. Alongside Lallana probably Saints best player and didn't look at all out of place. Got the feeling today I was watching a real star in the making.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

Yeah, yesterday's echo. -
So why would anyone be interested in what the Guardian has to say then about what David Cameron might do? A great display and a reminder to everyone what a fantastic country we live in.
-
I guess it depends on your definition of what "world class" IMO Rooney falls just below that level.

Joe Hart. However, as I said, Spain are a class above anyone else and have been for 6 years, their team is arguably one of the best of all time so not many other countries are doing that either. We're still along way behind the best of the rest and yes Something has to change, of that there is no doubt, as usual thought the changes favour the big clubs and screw over everyone else. Its going to take make than a restructure of the academy system to change the mindset of most of this country that the best players are the fast, the strongest, the ones that work the hardest and thump their chest, scream and show that all important quality of passion, regardless of what they actually do with the ball.

Why not enjoy it for what it is rather than using it to promote your agenda?

If we are talking clubs outside the premier league that won't be cat A then off the top of my head Chris Smalling Phil jones Ashley Young Stuart Downing JAck Butland Joleen Lescott Gary Cahill Scott Parker Phil Jagielka joe Hart So quite a few internationals actually. Although if they can compete with Spain is another matter as has be proven over the last 3 tournaments there aren't many countries who can.

Stop thinking with you **** Colin.

john Terry wouldn't make it up the stairs, he'd be side tracked by abusing all the black people in the industrial revolution scene.
-
The italians looked good as well as usual. My home from home.

He's been showing his new saints shirt off to the locals in his coventry boozer.

:DGood to see you're back to normal with an emoticon after every sentance

Most normal people can see that it's been a brilliant opening ceremony and a fantastic celebration of our history and culture. However early 1800 bits were laced with political correctness. Black Morris dancers for example. Has anyone ever seen this before? Black people at a 18th century cricket match. Many Black faces during the industrial revolution. It simply isn't an accurate representation of that period in our history. Sorry if you PC types don't like it but that is how it is.

It's morally wrong because it only helps the big clubs and the ones that can afford Cat A status. We're lucky that we are in a position now to be a cat A. 3-7 years ago we'd have been screwed and Walcott, Chamberlain and Bale would have gone for a few hundred grand not the £30m they did. Crewe for example have produced some great players for the size of their club and location. Theyve survived in no small part down to being able to sell the likes of Dean Ashton, Danny Murphy and Nick Powell for millions. Under the new system all of those will end up at Man U and so on for peanuts. Will it produce better English players? Time will tell. But what it will definitely do is ensure the rich get richer and to hell with everyone else. I really think that in years to come the likes of Crewe and Wycombe will be accompanied in their leagues by reserve teams of the big boys, like they have in Spain at the moment.

Why is he a moron? It's his opinion and he's entitled to it. If he thinks he's crap that's fair enough. IMO he's a top L1 left back and could do a job for a midtable championship side but clearly Nige recognised the left back area needed strengthening last summer as I did and went and got Fox, which was proven to be a good signing. Harding is a good pro and will do a good job wherever he goes next. I'm sure he'll quickly prove a popular figure with the local ball boys.

As far as ball boy bully's go he's premier league class.

The wrist band sellers of Nottingham will be wet with excitement.

Whilst its good for Saints can't help but feel a lot of smaller clubs are going to be screwed by this. Players like Nick Powell will be poached younger and for much less than the £4m Man U payed for him. For a lot of these clubs this is what keeps them going.

Shevchenko was £30m well spent. As was the £11m on Rebrov.

Well it all seems very positive especially our role model status for Europe.
