To be fair to them both they have inherited a mess and teams in decline. It's going to take a couple of seasons to really judge them and for them to make an impact. I dont agree about Rogers at all, he's a very good young manager who is bringing through some decent young players and he'll get it right there. But he's going to need time.

On the flip side whilst our defense looks shakey at times our offense has been awesome.

They fired David Chell who did the job at Man City very well. Luker left for reasons that i'll keep to myself and i understand they've been through a couple of others as well. Something is obviously amiss if these good and knowledgeable people with proven track records are leaving, it simply cant be a case of all of them just not being good enough when they've succeeded elsewhere.

I've had issues with Sky. Got Sky plus and all of a sudden it wouldn't record two channels at once, it would only record one channel and you had to be watching that channel or it would record it, which kind of defeats the object of having sky plus. Anyway, rang them up and went through loads of stuff on the phone, problem seemed sorted. Next day back to how it was, rang them again, again problem sorted. Two weeks later it went back to how it was. Left it a few days as was busy and rang them again, to be told 'sorry sir, your out of warrranty now by 4 days so you need to take out an insurance contract or have a call out which will be £65'. So i told them to f*ck off. Doesn't help you but just gives me a chance to have a moan.

You see, it's these sort of comments that make me question the sanity of people on here. Why would any decent businessman spend c£20m expanding a stadium and then reduce the price to fill it? Why would they spend this sort of money to only achieve the same revenues as we currently have? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The only way it would make any sense if if there is a continued demand for tickets which outstrips supply for a lengthy period of time. Ie every game sold out weeks in advanced, waiting list for season tickets, the made scramble for tickets we were told there would be but isn't happening. That sort of thing. Does anyone seriously think Cortese, or anyone else for that matter, is going to expand the stadium at a cost over tens of millions and cut prices so there is no additional income, simply because he's a great guy and loves the fans?

I dont know why people are getting themselves at it about what Villa fans though, why does anyone care? It's the typical thing when a team gets tonked. Arsenal were full of gushing praise for themselves and the way they demolished us with some brilliant football, we blamed Fox, Davis, the midfield etc for not closing down and not being good enough. The roles are reversed this week. The reality, as is often the case, is somewhere inbetween.

I think you need to check the rule book as to how many players can play sunshine.

I want to know why there is still no word from the intelligent posters that championed and immediate stadium expansion all summer as to what is going wrong and why there is not the predicted mad scramble for tickets every game.

Seriously. Why would anyone at a match post on an internet forum having pop at and telling people who were at the match as well what to do? Odd behaviour.

He looks like a totally different player to the one sliced over the bar and nearly cleared to top of the Chapel end from 6 yards out against Rochdale almost exactly 2 years ago. Seems to be playing with commitment and a good attitude and it probably helps he's not the whipping boy of the fans at the moment like he was back then as well.
