Such a Dell sized mentality FFS.

and the other thing being that centre back is a crucial position, where they need to work well as a pair, they need time to gel and develop and understanding. It's a diffcult position to bring someone in and just expect them to play, any mistake or lapse in concentation or commuication and they make will be punished. The goalkeeper and centre back positions are crucial IMO. The foundation on which the team is built. A good pairing can make even an average centre half, such as Lunkedvam look good. A bad one will lead to nothing but struggle and i'm not conivinced that ours is anywhere near good enough.

No it isn't read any thread. It's full of gushing praise and propoganda and anyone who dares to question anything is accused of being negative and wanting Saints to fail.
-
why? He's a very good League one possibly championship striker.

I think people confuse questioning with criticism. Don't forget the only acceptable response to anything on here is "this is amazing" anything else is considered bullying, negative and trolling. Just take what you are told Tokyo and reply "this is amazing" even if it is only new felt around the pitch.

Yes, I'm worried. There is a definite pattern in our transfer activity. Yes we've done well securing Rodriguez, but our other three major transfers are players out of contract, one of which weve p*ssed off his club with an insulting offer and the third a goalkeeper as one for the future. Just like last season weve failed to address the areas where we are crying out for quality, namely centre back and right midfield. Last season we went through 4 centre halves before scrapping around at the end of the window looking for loans after failing all summer to secure a deal for the player we needed and wanted. Luckily for us Hooliveld worked out but it could equally have been a disaster. Last season we had the momentum of 13 wins out of 14 to carry us through along with a team of experienced championship players. This season we don't have that momentum and an untested team at the level we are playing at. This, alongside our sticking plaster approach to key positions could lead to a long and difficult season if we don't address these problems by signing quality and experience, centrainly at least at centre back. I'm sure I'll be called negative, a troll and all sorts else as if usually the case when Anything other than saying how amazing anything is, but that is the reality folks.

Man City Away Tickets-When Are They On Sale For Season Ticket Holders...!?!
Turkish replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
I am and wont be. £40 is my self improsed theshold. And these are my principles, if you don't like them I have others. -
What it boils down to is there is a standard you need to get to be "Cat A" like there is for 5 star hotels. I expect most premier league clubs and wealthy championship clubs will eventually get there. But like 5 star hotels, some will be just at tht standard and some will exceed it. I can't see how having gold plated taps or slightly deeper baths is going to make a single bit of difference when attracting new players. Or if the training ground cost £6m or £26m to improve.

Any chance of letting this one go? He obviously isn't joining.

I'll help you out, but unfortunately you've got me on ignore so you won't see this. -
Let's hope we pull out of the Scott Dann deal if he is one. We don't want him looking at Kelvins bum when he should be defending a corner.
-
It's a good idea. I'm all for maximising revenues and the Cortese "together as one" range of tomatoes is genius. We could sell them at Sunnyfields organic farm in Totton or from a fruit and veg stall outside SMS next to my foam hand and t-shirt stall.
-
He did. I think he hit the bar as well in the first half? He was very good that night.
-
Im in that video. Freezing cold night, the worst terrace ever and a long drive midweek but worth it for that Rickie Winner.
-
Who are young and Robinson? I really hope Mugabi makes the first team one day.

Apologies yes, forgot about 3k a seat from back then. The expansion figure seems to range from anything from 40,000 to today's 52,000 so it's difficult to keep up.
-
They are still aiming to be category one though. Maybe they got a great deal, maybe they don't need to upgrade as much as we do. Spurs are spending loads more than ours and you say there is not much in it. Maybe There won't be much in it between ours and Stokes?
-
Oh it's 52k now is it? It changes everytime we have this discussion.
-
Quite, the felt around the pitch and new red bits on the dugouts have convinced me we are about to spend 20 million plus on extra seats and need to do it right now.
-
Dave, who's got a City and Guilds in felt laying.

stop it, please, too funny!
