  1. care to expand?
  2. Yep. I think Les Reed should carry the can for the failiure to address the key areas in our team that he failed to during the summer, areas Adkins clearly identified needed strengthening as a priority. It has directly led to the situation we are now in.
  3. I see the Echo are running the story about the missing spoon and private toilet in todays paper addition.
  4. I'm confused on this thread. I thought most people would simply say that they would back whatever Cortese decides as He'a not got much wrong so far, our past is irrelevant because the club was reborn in 2009 and Redknapp will be a great choice because He's a proven manager and like Adkins will have full control of team matters so will be in his element at this club with the ambition and backing the chairman and club has to take us into the champions league. Surely those that have spouted all this on support of their leader should shut up, back the chairmans decision as he hasn't got much wrong so far has he.
  5. So one relegation in a 30 year career makes him a relegation specialist does it?!! Adkins took S****horpe down is he a relegation specialist? What about Strachan with Coventry? Thank god we never went for him as manager!
  6. So direct quotes from the manager is media speculation is it?!! It's a very simple question, which is raises a few valid points and you were compelled to write another essay on yet at the same time can't be bothered to reply to it. Odd.
  7. Except i'm not am I. I'm using quotes from Nigel and Les Reed himself. Dont let that stop you though.
  8. * looks forward to a few more pictures like this *
  9. Dont get too exicted, last week this bloke was a cluessless crap journalist with no idea what he was on about.
  10. Relegation specialist? How do you work that out?
  11. I've watched his performances for Man United and our own left back problems and been so grateful that our chairman doesn't get pushed around by these arsehole players, greedy agents and tosser chairman of other clubs.
  12. I'd be interested to hear your view Steve. It seems we agree on that, but we are in the minority. Do you believe Adkins team selections are being interfered with from above? I find it very odd that on the one hand every is supporting the chairman and Reed and claiming everything that happens on the football side involves Adkins, yet in the next breath saying Redknapp wouldn't come here because he wont be able to work with them. If he is left to get on with football matters, which many are claiming Adkins is, then why will they be unable to work together?
  13. Still no one can explain why in preseason Adkins was talking about having a number of formations and why now he insists we will stick with one and why Adkins is doing his bes to adhere to a process at the club. Surely he is doing his best to adhere to something that he has agreed himself? Why not say "we have decided that we will play 4-3-3 because we believe that is the way forward" Rather than sticking to a process.
  14. But if you believe, as many do on here, that Adkins is fully in control of team selection, formations and transfers, then none of this will be a problem, surely?
  15. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/175813.html "Honest answer? I don't know how long I have got in this job," Adkins said, as he reflected on his side's 4-1 thumping against West Ham on Saturday. "Stability is important at a football club, but I'm not naive enough to neglect the reality that football is a results-driven business. "To stay in this league, we simply cannot continue to concede goals at the rate we have done in the first eight games and while we have a process in place at this club that we are doing our best to adhere to, you need to win football matches at some stage. "On too many occasions in this Premier League, we have given away too many goals. I am being honest about the situation and while I'll continue to work as hard as I can, we'll wait and see what happens." Doesn't sound like a man full of confidence he's going to be here much longer or at ease with the process he agreed to put in place.
  16. So why in August was he talking about having a number of systems and formations, now so adamant he will only play one? Which is part of the process he is adhereing to. The process he is doing his best to stick to, but is one he was actually instrmental in agreeing on, despite it being completely at odds with what he's said and done in the past.
  17. Only against Liverpool im afraid. It'll be Yellow or Red apart from that.
  18. I remember him saying it to be fair. Or at least it being talked about on here at time.
  19. Ahh okay, my mistake so when he said he was doing his best to adhere to the process, what he actually meant was he was doing his best to stick to what he had decided to do himself. Which is also completely at odds with what he said in the summer about needing to have a number of systems to play. It's all so clear now. We have one confused manager at the helm, i say get rid of him now in that case.
  20. It's in his interview on Saturday. Listen to it. He says and I quote 'there is a process at the football club we are doing our best to Adhere to, but it's about winning football matches' "there is a brand of football the football club wants us to play but you've got to win" Do you adhere to instructions or do you do you best to adhere to something you've decided yourself? Here it is if you dont believe me http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/175813.html What was that you were saying about quoting FACTS?
  21. But chose not to play it up until preseason this season and not insists on it despite talking about needing several formations. How odd.
  22. It was just a tweet, not journalism.
  23. I will back the chairmans decision whatever he feels is best. He hasn't got much wrong so far.
