A company a friend works at has created a centralised overseas centre for their UK and European credit control department to a Muslim country to save costs. Clearly the bottom line was all that mattered here as no one bothered to look into the cultural aspect During Ramadan they will only work until 4pm UK time. they also won’t work 31st March which is the last order day for public sector, a very big area of business for them and the companies quarter end. It’s also the last of Ramadan which means there will be no one available to credit release orders.
