Do you think the organisers are completely unaware that there will be those there on “their side” intent on causing an issue? if they answer is no then they are incredibly naive, if the answer of yes then do they think it’s wise to organise a March on the one day of the year that is more than any other is likely to raise tensions. The intention may not be to disrupt Remembrance Day but if they really believe there won’t be those in their ranks that will be wanting to do so they they are not fit to organise a March in the first place. They have every other day of the year to do it, why chose that day?
-
How many injury time goals is that now this season? Great run we are on, fantastic stuff
-
Oh come on egg you’re not naive. You know as well as I do that in amongst the peaceful protesters there will be a significant element with another agenda. Likewise the counter protest will contain the same. They could chose any day but they’re choosing a day which is significant for a lot of people in this country I’m amazed the met police are allowing on that day. Probably because if they don’t they’ll be accused of islamaphonia. It’s a recipe for disaster even if the organisers are well intentioned
-
They could have chosen any other day, that’s why. and if it wanted to provoke a reaction they’ve done just that as looks like they’ll be a counter protest as well
-
Exactly, it’s an obvious tactic. Now there are rumours of a counter demonstration from what Sog would call the far right. I’m of the view that protests/marches should be allowed but this is simply and attempt to cause mass disruption and of course any counter demonstration from those opposed to it will play right into the hands of the likes of Sog who will be falling over each other to be the first to criticise it.

This is true but it’s been different for me for a while anyway. Since I moved up north it’s either driving or a long train journey, which used to be on my own meeting up with mates who’d been on the beers since 10am and then having to leave early to get the train back. So although I used to absolutely love a day out at football it’s not been the same for me for 10 years already. when I see harrogate it’s in the family stand with my lad and his mates, we might go for one on the way home but I can easily cut that out
-
And I bet useless Arne boy Martin doesn’t pick him tomorrow either
-
Ha no mate. just not enjoying it anymore, dont want to ruin days and weekends by being hungover and just trying to cut down doesn’t really work for me. A few people I knows health is suffering due to booze mainly and few people I know have given up recently and are now 6 months to a year in and loving it plus had a bit of a surprise at some blood test results recently, nothing major serious but needs sorting while I can. So all those things combined have made me decided I don’t want it anymore. Not for everyone of course and I won’t bore everyone by it being the first thing I say when I meet them 😉
-
That’s the thing when I’ve done it for a few months it has suited me, several people I know have given up and every single one that’s stayed off it has said they feel so much better. So here we go!
-
How are we all doing with this? @The Left Back did you do six months? @Raging Bull did you stay off? tomorrow I am knocking it on the head, I’m back from a week in Cyprus tomorrow and for a number of reasons have decided I don’t need or want it in my life any more coming in a mess, going out in style. cheers everyone for one last time

How the fuck has he pulled that piece he’s smashing? She’s quite tidy he an absolute bellend, the sort of kid that would ride up to you on his bike give a wanker sign a ride off quick ad he could
-
are you mad? You went out? Looks awful in Southampton severe weather warning of moderate wind don’t go out!
-
When you’re on holiday and people feed the stray cats that hang around local restaurants so the things constantly hang around tables
-
Remember our last trip to Millwall? They retained their hide and seek champion title, couldn’t find them anywhere then this inside the ground, what a day
-
He was right though wasn’t he. He was the boss and if you didn’t like it you’re out. Brian clough was the same,
-
They are now but that wasn’t always the case and just shows what an incredible manager Ferguson was, if anyone got bigger than the club they were gone. I remember when he was there people said managing them was easy, even Alan Pardew would win the league with them and if they’d just spend £200m to buy new players. How laughably wrong that has proven to be
-
Is it him or is it the toxic culture at Man U? Every manager who’s been there since fergie has failed miserably. That club is rotten from top to bottom, ever since the last year of fergies reign it’s been a club in decline. It’s actually quite sad to see, I know a lot of people hate them but it’s a great English club a shadow of itself. They should be challenging for every trophy available. They’re not even close
-
To put it into perspective it was against Man United
-
If he’d have had to say it a third time then the lad would have left picking up his teeth with a broken arm. This is how we do it in Southampton classy, not bullies but mess with us you’d wish you hadn’t
-
There was a picture of him on Facebook recently he’s still about but when I left Southampton in 2013 hadn’t seen him for years bang bang was still about back then but not sure if he still is forkeye was on countdown recently!
-
Any recent sightings of southampton legends? The laughing **** sorry if it offends some but that was his name back in the day bang bang phil forkeye dougal king of the Milton many others?
-
Doesn’t Chorley now do some weird porn show? McMillan popped up again recently in the echo something about taxi drivers i don’t mind Nick, he’s the best of them and at least he genuinely does love the club and would do anything for the fans, whereas the others I felt just loved the limelight
-
Took the Den pal? Not many people can claim that. Good on you. Doing us proud. A father and son team strolling around unchallenged in their end taking liberties. another reason why the DEF are so feared even our families supporters are tougher than their hardcore. 👏👏👏👏
-
I think millwall will be there for the taking on Saturday. The south london hard men will be in hiding in fear of a confrontation with the DEF, maybe a few will give it large from the safety of their home areas but roared on by a large and vociferous away following from behind the goal we will crush any enthusiasm they have off the pitch. it’s then on the pitch that our lads need to deliver. Sap the life out of their initial aggression and watch the lions turn into pussy cats as the lads on the pitch match the ferocity of the travelling army
