yep £35m is fair for Ward-Prowse, i'd actually say £30m is fair and £35m would be a very good deal. The comparisons to Rice are crazy. Rice is 24 coming into his prime is one of the first names on the England team sheet and was wanted by top clubs in the country. Ward-Prowse is nearly 29, appears to only have one team after him and as much as we like him is at best a midtable player. That's not an insult to him, it still makes him a premier league level player and a very good player but that's the reality, Rice is a younger, much better player with his best years ahead of him, Ward-Prowse is not far from the age where when your games is based around work rate and fitness those things start to wain, he might be a freak like Milner who is still super fit in their mid thirties but he might not be. This makes her the fittest women on earth in her age group 3 years in a row. As a recreational CrossFit athletes who has competed at local level I cannot begin to tell you how hard this is. You have to be world class at running, rowing, gymnastics, weight lifting jus to qualify for the final. The fittest guy in my gym didn’t even make the top 25% in the UK. She trains at CrossFit Southampton. I hope the city recognises her incredible achievement which to win once is phenomenal to do it 3 years in a row in super human

It’s a good comparison to be fair. Noble is a bit of a hero at West Ham a good player got them but in reality never going to get a move to a better club so stuck with them. Ward Prowse is the same he might get a move to a premier club but he’s only going to swap us for another club whose goal every season us to stay up and will eventually go down. Unlike lavia who will go to one of the worlds biggest clubs expecting to win things and play champions league football
