I love these sort of threads. You always get these type of posts generally with the sole qualification being that they played for saints once or are a saints fan, regardless of how long ago. It was a bit like clamour to bring him back right at the end of his career even though he'd been shite for years, if we'd have been linked with a mid thirties, injury prone, under performing player anywhere else in the world everyone would have screamed how mental it was but because he played for us once he was perfect for what seemed to be little more than a late, time wasting sub role.

Can you imagine the interviews where he tells the prospective new manager that the women’s team are the priority over the men’s and that league position doesn’t really matter. No wonder anyone decent is running for hills but Lampard and Rooney are all over it.

I’m not saying he’s not great he might be the new Mourniho but is it one of those situation where people say he’s highly rated because other people say he is? I’ve not really seen any evidence to back this up. I’m also not saying he’s the new Eric Black and everything is his fault, but nothing tells me why everyone says he’s highly rated. He’s never really done anything.

I keep reading that he’s highly rated. By whom exactly? Doesn’t appear to have ever played professional football and seems to have spent his entire coaching career as an assistant in Russia, Azerbaijan, Greece and Denmark with a brief spell as U18s coach in Spain. Before someone says Mourniho never played the game either at least he worked with some amazing clubs and managers. Don’t get it myself
