The thing I don’t get about the Gapko stuff is he’s clearly a very good player but we were after a striker, he’s more of a winger. He definitely isn’t an out and or striker we wanted and needed. He’s a completely different sort of player to Delap and Broja who we were in for so makes me think there was another deal that didn’t happen that was never in the media. Most of our signings only made the news when they were as good as done.

Difficult to say as Only seen him twice. Once was for Carlisle last season, he went off injured just after half time and didn’t really stand out, but then Carlisle were terrible, quite possibly the worst professional team I’ve ever seen. He looked good yesterday but Harrogate have been poor this year and really struggled for goals this season so not the strongest opposition to form an opinion on. He does appear to have all the attributes and fans of both team he’s been on loan at rave about him. Gut feel says he’s not going to be top level, he’s been good without being outstanding at the level I’ve seen him at but He is only 20. He’s definitely much better than league 2 level though.

Played well in Tranmeres 1-1 draw away to Harrogate. Tranmere fans love him, spoke to one in the pub after and he said he's been brilliant for them this season, along with ex Saint Jordan Turnbull, who scored Tranmeres goal yesterday. Seemed strange to send him on loan to another league 2 club as he did really well at Carlise last season, definitely capable of playing up a level this season. In other ex saints news Ramsay played quite well as well.

This. I’m sure he’s a nice enough chap, but he’s a marketing guy, he’s got zero experience of running a football club and neither has Steele. Whilst that’s not the be all and end all you can tell they’re corporate types out of touch with the fan base and don’t really get us or football fans in general. I can’t think of many specialised industries where youd get people in very senior positions with no industry experience. Yes I get at that level is about strategy and leadership not knowing Kevin and Sue from Shirley are pissed off because they can’t get an extra large twix in the kiosks but they seem to think we are an Arsenal or Chelsea with corporate and day trippers lining up to come along but we aren’t. The easiest customer to get is the one you already have but they seem oblivious to this and instead intent on doing as much as possible to annoy the existing fan base.
