The tug was a split second later, can see why it was given. It was a stupid thing to do as the ball as going away from goal and gave VAR an opportunity to review it when there was no need.

Very strange Valery starts. Two weeks ago we were told although he’d been back 3 weeks and played for the u23s earlier this week he wasn’t match fit to start. He’s not played at all since then but is now match fit enough to start.

If they plan to ban over 70s from matches comes off what does that mean for Roy Hodgson? Will he have to stay away from managing Palace until the threat subsides?
