Respect your opinion and I rate Davis highly. His best position by miles is the furthest forward of the mid 3. He is better there than anyone else we have in central midfield as although he isnt a goalscorer he is more creative in his passing and touches around the box than Romeu, Wanyama, JWP etc and also has better acceleration. If JWP starts then often Davis is shifted back, which isn't his strength. If Davis is played further forward then JWP plays deep and must be one of the easiest players for an oppo midfielder to run past, especially someone with a bit of power. Therefore, I feel we are not as well balanced when both play. Is any of that overly ludicrous? I don't think so.

Wanyama, Davis and 1 x place up for grabs at the moment. Always worry about JWP and Davis in the same midfield as neither tackle. Romeu too similar to Wanyama. If Clasie doesn't break into the side eventually then I will be suprised. He was obvious signed to replace Morgan. Would start him this weekend.

Good news re Stek. Hopefully he can play ever game now until Forster is back.

Hopefully Ronald will have some good news on that today, otherwise chances of a result hugely reduced.

No offence intended, but you had to be there to see how much he affected our usually calm defence. The kicks were awful, especially in the context that he had struggled with them since minute one (one of Vardy's best chances in the first half came from a kick that only went about 40 yards). Yes others were also at fault, but he consistently played us into trouble throughout the game, which they probably didnt show on the sketchy bits you saw. Its not about Davis when he just joined or when he was great in Champ/L1. Its about him now and 100% he isn't good enough now to do a job as first reserve.

We don't need to bring anyone in now. We just need to sort it out this next summer and not be in the position we have the last four seasons when people **** themselves as soon as the teamsheet comes out and the no1 isnt playing.

I've been to a few in the past and enjoyed them. I enjoyed watching the one the other night. That doesn't mean it was perfect and you have no right to suggest aspects were poor. Just the same way that fans watching on TV can have an opinion just as those who went to a game can. Just the same that when Saints win there can be some things you weren't totally happy with.

I do think FF will/may play this season, but only near the end. Its better, as with Jay Rod, not to expect anything though. Anyone saying Stekelenburg is our no 2 keeper this season and Davis #3, Gazza #4 is mad because Forster isnt going to be available for ages and the club brought in Stek to replace FF for this season. So our backup is, for most of the season, going to be **** as it was last year. Thats all.

Looks like Spurs left out Adebayor having only named 23 players so maybe it has changed and you don't now need to name everyone like you used to. PL website doesn't have the latest set of rules that I can find. Although re Forster, no reason not to name him as we have space.

Its pretty clear. If you have eligible players they must be named. You can only not list a player if you already have 25 and then need to decide which players to leave out. 9) Clubs do not have to name a full squad of 25 if they do not have that many contracted players and in this case they can add free agents outside the transfer window. However if they have 25 eligible contracted players, they must be named. Doesn't even matter in the context of our goalkeepers!

Reed mentioned that we use data a lot in our player recruitment (which we knew) but did think its ironic that we are lauded for our setup whereas an over reliance on data for signings and transfer committees is currently the reason Rodgers was fired and Villa struggling under Sherwood. Don't blame the approach, blame those controlling it.
