  1. Lens and Borini will probably come on at HT and change things a bit. Got to score when on top so much.
  2. Ben Watson scores for Dorch. 2nil up.
  3. Well on top now. Need to score.
  4. Look at the size of the three midfielders [emoji38]
  5. First JWP mention on radio commentary after 14mins. Haha.
  6. He will need to be careful.
  7. Sunderland not really setup for long ball and nor for 4-4-2 so the Yoshida selection seems overthinking to me. Should have enough to win though.
  8. Be interesting to see how such a small midfield can do in a tough away game.
  9. Jonno Forte scored sometimes. You wouldn't drop Lambert for him. Cedric is clearly a superior full back. Hopefully it works well but seems unnecessary tinkering.
  10. They just pick whichever team is higher in the league.
  11. Koeman says Maya plays because they normally play 4-4-2 and he gives us the chance to switch to a back 3. However today they are clearly set up in a 4-5-1 and from Allardyce's comments that was always going to be the case. Pick our best side and let them deal with us.
  12. Barely anyone is doing that. Its the manager decision which is being questioned.
  13. Yep. But injury aside there can be no other reason to play Yoshida over Cedric? Not even sure how Yoshida has suddenly been seen as RB cover. He is the sort you play in an injury crisis out there but I don't see any attributes he has to play there which Fonte or VVD don't have yet Fonte has never played full back in his many years with us. Also shows how **** Martina (an actual RB) is.
  14. Probably going to mean Davis is shunted back to the holding position he isn't as good in so JWP can mess about thinking he is an attacking midfielder. Weird selection.
  15. Can only think without Wanyama that Ron is worried on defending set plays. But you lose so much when a CB plays instead of a proper RB.
  16. Bizarre Saints selection. How the **** Cedric isn't preferred to Yoshida I will never know. Smallest ever PL midfield 3 too.
  17. Its not a question of fair or not. In 100 games he hasnt shown a lot to suggest he can make it in the PL as an advanced midfielder who will trouble other teams. Ask Matic, Cattermole, Surman, Yacob, Schneiderlin or Can and all would say they would prefer to face JWP as a "no10" than Mane or Davis. He isnt that type of player. He is a deep lying playmaker who at the moment isn't strong enough or aggressive enough to play that role as a first choice unless he played in either a slower league, or in a team having 70% possession every game. Academy players should definitely be pushed into the team, and JWP IMO has been given a lot of game time relative to his performance. But right now he isn't effective enough to be a starter in our team when everyone is fit.
  18. Excellent news. Hopefully he transitions back to the pitch well. Next summer is the key, really hope they do not think Gazza is fine to be no2 to Forster.
  19. Excellent news on Forster.
  20. He doesn't have the attacking instincts to play that position IMO apart from in games where you just want to sit back and are happy to reduce your level of attacking threat. Not creative enough in his movement, touches or passing.
  21. Certainly wouldn't be dropping Tadic or Davis to shoehorn in JWP out of position. You have to earn a first team spot, especially if its at the expense of a player having an excellent season who in the case of Tadic has two quality assists in the last two games and a clearly effective partnership with your no1 striker.
  22. Romeu has to come in for Wanyama, especially in an away game against an Allardyce team who have just been thrashed. A midfield of Clasie, JWP and Davis is too lightweight.
  23. Is Chung Lee fit for this one?
  24. Spurs looking strong and easily the best placed to capitalise on Chelsea's implosion. Poch continuing to be a very good Manager.
