They are a worse team than Bournemouth and many in the Bournemouth build up thread said we would smash them with ease. They will revert to typical Allardyce after the Everton defeat. 4-5-1 and niggly.
-
Someone must have seen something so hopefully they will come forward. A small minority in football, as in life, are just ****ty.

We watch loads of players to be fair.

Is GTA V miles better on PS4 than 3? As in worth buying and playing again?

We won't be top 6 because for a period of the season Yoshida will be a starting right back or centre back, our midfield will be JWP, Clasie and Davis and for some times Shane Long will be our main striker. Possibly Kelvin Davis in goal. Our first XI gives us a chance to be top 6 but no team ever gets to play their first XI for more than half of their games and we don't have Fabregas, Matix, Walcott, Schweinsteiger etc on our bench. Squad depth in terms of quality, not numbers, is telling. It will be why Bournemouth will probably get relegated and why a below par Man Utd will still finish in the top 4.

Interesting quote from Koeman saying he is not the most physical of players. Arguably Schneiderlin, as well being good on the ball, was very physical. He didn't start off like that, but by thr end was running and tackling more than most other players in the league. Whilst Clasie is a replacement in terms of number and position, he is a very different player - which is interesting in itself given we looked very balanced with a Schneiderlin type playing alongside Wanyama. Perhaps now we are slightly less mobile in there, which is why teams have appeared able to run through too easily at times. Neither JWP nor Romeu help in the mobility stakes either.
-
Similar to JWP in that he seems to play well when the team is on top and the game is calm, but struggles when we are under the cosh a bit. Schneiderlin was so good at controlling the tempo and knowing when to get the ball down and play and when to just take the momentum out of the opponent.
-
Think he was pretty good aside from the red. A few shaky moments on the ball but thats always the case with him. Only midfielder we have who can boss the midfield a bit so definitely wouldn't drop him. Main improvement would be to try and avoid getting booked early in games as it restricts him.

Lots of little urchins hanging round on street corners after the game. Hefty Police presence too. -
Should be said Bmth were dire first half though so not sure I would make judgements entirely on that, but he was better than other games.

Howe also set them up completely wrong first half. He was very complimentary about Saints post match, said even from his point of view our goals were high quality. -

Fonte has hamstring injury. Koeman said hopes he will be available for Sunderland. -
Thoughts? First half today he was really good I thought. Kept the ball well, made good decisions and played a great ball to Pelle in the build up for the first goal. Was always available for the ball. Second half he struggled physically to get close enough to them which presumably was why he came off. Thats my main concern with him, that physically he might find it tough in the pace & strength of the PL. Hopefully with games he can show that is a misplaced worry. Certainly not a ready made Schneiderlin replacement but thats to be expected I guess.

Strange game. Excellent first half, Pelle, Tadic, Cedric and Davis all excellent, two great goals. Second half so poor. Started slowly and didnt ever get back into it. Midfield poor and seemed to be very easy to run through. Wanyama needs to stop getting booked early on as it restricts his game so much from then on. Clasie good first half, struggled physically second. Despite being so poor we didnt really give them any good chances which is positive. Saints MOTM: Cedric easily. Quality performance in defence and made telling runs forward. -

They are much better than some are giving them credit for. They create good chances in most games, it won't be easy, no PL games are.

He is so cringeworthy at times. Its better when we leave the public comments to Reed. -
Jason McCarthy to Wycombe - 1 month's loan

Great that he is doing well. Regardless of ability he definitely seems to have a great attitude. -
Liverpool deserve to win. Excellent performance. Like we played there.

Lovely equaliser. Liverpool by far the better team in all honesty.

Pretty sure he seems to have an ankle knock anyway, has struggled against Leicester and Liverpool with that, no maybe just taking it easy ahead of the game and given he played 90 on Weds.
