Koeman was right that he is a totally different player to Morgan, bowhere near as mobile and adept at covering ground. Expect he might need a bit of time to adjust to the pace of the PL over 90mins. Mane our main threat and now Morgan has gone probably our best player.

Correct. Plus, Sven van Beek their best centre back is out injured and obviously we now have Clasie, their best player of previous. Should be by far the stronger side in theory.

€8m is only £5.5m which isnt a lot these days for a young Intl player with decent potential. I would get him at that price if we have given up on Ramirez.

He is definitely a risk signing.

He contributed in a similar way to the likes of Butterfield, Richardson and Barnard I would say. Very important moments but not a key player. Remembered fondly, but wasn't particularly good as proven by not getting into a poor MLS team.

I think he could play for us in the Group stage if we got there.

Gallagher hasn't travelled to Holland by the look of it so is well out the picture. Gardos must be injured hence being careful with Fonte and Yoshida. Need them fit for Vitesse assuming no new CB by then.

It was only really his passing that people slagged from what I recall. He has massively improved on the ball since joining us, wouldn't say he was ever a scapegoat, just he had different attributes from Cork, who many fans liked.
