Agree. Would just have prefered him to stay at AM or go to Chelsea over Spurs. If he goes there he will improve their defence a lot.

Quite possible that we are baulking at paying virtually double the fee that was in the clause last summer.

If as per the other thread we have offered £10m for Ogbonna then it wouldn't look too promising re Toby, as I doubt we will be spending £25m on centre backs this summer.

No. Once Schneiderlin goes the squad is already weaker than last season, so we will make additions right up to the end of the window I imagine. The only absolute musts between now and the first PL game are a CB (Toby or someone else) and a Morgan replacement. Anything else is a bonus IMO.

Whilst that is absolutely true, there is no suggestion that he doesn't also view Spurs as a good destination and would be happy to go there too. Interesting that we are in for Ogbonna, as wouldnt need another CB unless we don't get Toby. Whatever happens though, it won't be for £10m.
