  1. Haven't had a lot of shots for a few games I don't think.
  2. The players probably aren't as fussed about the Cup as the league, despite the media training to say otherwise.
  3. Just Long really from an attacking perapective. Palace bench is better.
  4. Palace genuine 4-4-2 sounds like its causing problems. Few teams play like that now.
  5. Is he better than Lallana as many heralded? Not for me. But very good when fit and in form.
  6. Very bizarre tbh.
  7. Was on BBC2 Wales.
  8. Yes! Unless appealed etc.
  9. Appreciated.
  10. Bit of a shame we don't still have Fox for this game. He absolutely bossed Zaha whenever we faced him.
  11. Thats an opinion posted as fact pal. Please edit.
  12. Who knows but I am not committing either way now!
  13. Ok. I hope you pull up everyone else who says Morgan will definitely leave. Anyway, Cork starts today which is good.
  14. Strongest available team. Good to see.
  15. Ok. Seeing as the vast majority of Saints fans are pretty much resigned to the fact that Schneiderlin will most likely leave. Is that better? Do you expect us to have him next season? Its not pessimistic, its just realistic.
  16. If he is staying they will want to give him some game time to build up match fitness. If he isnt signing then you would assume they will look to sell next week to get something for him. However from what has been said so far its more likely than not that he won't sign IMO. Once things are made so public its usually a bad sign. Seeing as we know Morgan will leave and Wanyama could well attract interest, Cork should get a good amount of games next season but you couldn't blame him for wanting to be a first choice somewhere.
  17. If Cork doesn't get a start today then I would think its a pretty good indicator that he is off.
  18. Hopefully. Do you know his injury record in the youth leagues of Italy?
  19. IMO no additional striker does leave us a little light unless: - Long suddenly finds a PL level first touch and composure level - Koeman thinks Mane or Elia could do a job as a main striker (neither have enough physical presence IMO). - Jay Rod isn't that far away - Ditto Gallagher - The Club don't see this season as our only real chance to finish top 4.
  20. Yes. I email all the papers and tell them to print Liverpool/Man City/Spurs stories weekly about a player who isn't even fit to play. Notice on his Agent's recent tweet that @england came before @SouthamptonFC Strange considering he wasn't exactly an England regular anyway.
  21. I agree. Plus you have to wonder who keeps pushing the exit stories virtually every week....
  22. We can't compete with what he will get at United or similar. And if we matched it then rightly other players would want doubling too and then it gets ludicrous unless you are a CL team every year which we clearly aren't. I hope we first started talks over a year ago because if not then IMO we left it too late. I guess a year ago there was too much crap going on which probably prevented it. Was clear he was an excellent player back then but he was under the radar a lot more.
  23. Hopefully with these players and the likes of Morgan that they are fully focused on being here at least up until we have major things to play for.
  24. My opinions FWIW: I reckon Bertrand will sign, Toby may see who comes in for him in the summer but I think will stay. Clyne won't sign a new deal and we will sell for a decent fee to a big PL club in the summer. Jay Rod who knows. There is so much uncertainty about him in many ways and his camp (presumably?) keep feeding the press with Liverpool, City and Spurs interest yet he isnt even close to being fit to play.
  25. You could quite feasibly interpret the whole thing as a public stunt to shows fans we offered him a deal but they may know he will turn it down. If we valued him that highly it wouldn't have taken this long, and the club are clearly putting it across to fans that the ball is in Cork's court when it could well be a crap offer that we know he will reject. Usually things are done "inhouse" apart from when it suits to communicate. They know Cork is popular with fans so if he leaves it sits more comfortably if its his decision rather than ours to mess about and not offer him anything until late on.
