  1. Sorry. I am (genuinely) having trouble understanding your post?
  2. Jake Thomson once bossed Real Madrid in a youth tournament and now plays for AFC Porchester.
  3. Jack Cork's Dad on Twitter: Very quiet at the Saints, wonder if Les has lost the safe key?
  4. Those qualifiying games are played at the same times as the Intl breaks I assume, so he wouldnt miss any PL games unless they qualify (hopefully not).
  5. Pochettino strikes me as a workaholic. But certain our whole pre season and the lead up, time it took to get Poch out and Koeman in, player exists etc will surely have impacted versus the teams who have remained relatively settled and who could plan full with the relevant personnel in place in March, April etc. But yes, they are all there now. Tournament years always mess up pre season. Is Wanyama likely to be away for the ACON in January does anyone know?
  6. Seeing as Reed back in May/early June that the pre season had been really well planned, it didnt seem that way when we suddenly went out to Holland at very short notice. Just an opinion which doubtless will be slated rather than properly replied to, but it certainly doesn't ***feel*** as slick this summer as last. Once Koeman joined, I'm not sure why he needed to go off on holiday for another week, he was already out of work since the end of May anyway so would have had ample time. Pochettino was working at Spurs ever since he was announced - surely that must be an advantage over a team where the coaching staff come over to England a couple of days before pre season, or in the case of Lee and Watson, are appointed on the morning of the first day!
  7. Yep - great signing but only if Boruc stays. Gaaza on loan to L1 and Davis as a third choice.
  8. He isn't a Spurs player. He said that his former team mates have told him the training is great, and they really like him. Defoe (Pochettino): "Speaking to the lads, they love him already." #THFC Defoe: "They say training is really sharp, with a lot of pressing." #THFC Defoe: "With the players they have got at Tottenham, and with that manager, I think they will do well." #THFC Defoe (Pochettino): "There have been a lot of managers come and go but I think this one is there to stay." #THFC
  9. Spurs players already love Pochettino according to Jermain Defoe.
  10. Exactly. The formal bids are usually the last thing in the process. Its only Sunderland that do it a different way apparently.
  11. If ever a picture summed up the way to ruin a decent enough shirt with an awful stuck on logo its this:
  12. At his age and with todays prices, anything under 9m is pretty reasonable.
  13. He has a broken leg from the WC! Out for several months.
  14. Yeah Fonte is decent but not brilliant. If he thinks a Hull or Cardiff are better options then I would be suprised.
  15. Someone on Twitter said that in the Mirror it suggests Fonte has rejected a two year extension? Can't see anything in the online version though. Would be disappointing if even someone like him has lost faith.
  16. Paul Lambert seems certain Vlaar not leaving Villa: http://www.teamtalk.com/southampton/9391421/-
  17. Poyet is a complete tosspot. He always uses this tactic. In a few days they will make some sort of big signing most likely. At Brighton there were a number of times post match that he threatened to quit even just because Journalists asked him if they should have had more shots. He might be a decent Manager but he is a **** man.
  18. No way with our CB quality and depth that we will be playing three of them! Barely have two that available who are good enough No troll but Ings looks like a striker to me, good finisher and good running in behind. Not someone who will do their best work out wide or chasing back to their own goal. Could still be a decent addition though.
  19. Celtic Manager confirms after their game tonight that we have had a bid rejected for Forster.
  20. Ings stuff a bit tiresome and he wouldnt fit into the starting XI shape anyway, with Pelle bound to start up front. Ings a striker rather than Jay Rod type who plays wide too.
  21. I certainly didnt tip Norwich to be above us, they did deals early in June, its way beyond early now. Of course we don't know which players will work out, as normal, but we can see the sides who are doing their best to go out there and actually secure their targets.
  22. Koeman didnt seem to thing anything was imminent last night and so far he has been open and honest towards every question asked. Would bet a lot that nothing happens tomorrow, and most likely until into next week. All deals these days are known about days before they are official, and we have no strong rumours of anything being close.
  23. Quite a few teams that were in and around us are developing far stronger squads than we have, substantially so. Newcastle, Stoke and Hull as examples. All set to improve to being likely to finish ahead of us I would expect.
  24. Until three games in. Then everyone will, rightly, ask for some composure.
