Would think Newcastle will be top 10. Have signed some really decent players and should have a decent depth to their squad.
-
I'm ****ing worried about the posters that worry about people worrying. Go outside, its hot, have a beer etc.

No question Clyne is far less effective at LB than RB. Ok in an emergency but not as a regular thing.
-
Pulis knows what he is doing. Doubt Palace will go down.
-
Clyne could start for a top 6 team so if he feels he might be behind Chambers again then he might want to move on. But he played on Tuesday so maybe he just has a knock.
-
Of course not. I believe of those in bold only Boruc is a proven PL performer. Do you disagree?
-
Agree. Still need a GK, CB (2 if Lovren goes), LB, Winger, Striker. Probably won't have them all for the first game, but some more important than others. CB and LB would be priorities for me. Good news is we still have loads of the cash Reed said we would spend. Could buy the 6 without evening putting any of our original budget towards it, which was possibly the plan. Plenty of teams have signed 4 or 5 players and not lost anyone of significance so we are behind the pace so far.

No worries. MLG should be able to provide us with the date. Always better to get the sales done early on IMO like we have (Lovren aside).
-
Subs list is, defense aside, woeful. Should hopefully have a few more additions by the Bournemouth game.
-
None. Although we let Butterfield go on a free.
-
Clyne & Lovren not involved. Hopefully Clyne not injured again like last pre season.
-
You can spot the panic buys with those dates, especially in 12/13.
-
Saw the academy one pop up on instagram. Fonte follows him.

Wonder if Boruc, Yoshida and Lovren will feature tonight?
-
Somewhere between 10-12th would be a reasonable season I think. But impossible to call at this stage. We have some really good players, but a lot will depend if we sort out the depth issues that hampered us last season.
-
Wonder which proper first team player will be the first to sign an extension under the new regime? Hopefully Cork or Jay Rod.
-
You point is fair. For some reason people think when you suggest something at Saints isnt perfect that you are a bedwetter, or are totally wrong etc. Do not see what is wrong with the point you are making. We clearly have a very advanced acouting system, however its clear that Pelle and Tadic (whilst we may have been looking at them anyway) were firmly Koeman's choices. Nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong with saying that. Surely?
-
Winger area is the weakest aspect of our squad because for two years we didn't play with them. Could argue the only positions we are ok in currently are RB and central midfield. Will certainly need to accelerate our signings as currently are netting at minus two in the squad versus last season with two in and four first team squad members out. Plus Jay Rod who will miss at least 3 months.

You write mote posts about me than you do about Saints! Bless.

When you look at the Spurs squad that has travelled to the US for their tour, versus the one we have in Belgium its not hard to see why MP made the move he did.
-
Ings may also sign another contract with Burnley, move to another club that isnt Saints, get injured in training today, retire from the game to become a home and away Saints fan or hand in a transfer request to move here. Nobody knows. But if Burnley do sell, it will be after a lot of pressure and negotiations you would think, and putting out that interview with Ings would make them look very stupid if they subsequently cash in. Bs interesting to see how it develops.

Strange that we would we enquire about Janmaat when we have two right backs already, both of whom are quality.

:)

His name is Maurizio.

Question is whether we would want to spend enough of it (on someone who may not even be a starting player) for them to be interested. Will be a tough deal to do, he is their best player and they need his goals to have a chance of staying up. He is worth more to them than to us in all liklihood.
