Enjoyable, quite possibly. But in terms of quality of football last year was brilliant. Pochettino deserves credit for that, of course. There is a reason Spurs wanted him and we tried to keep him, afterall.

I didnt say achieved, I said best in terms of quality and style of football. If you want to dispute that then fine. But I think its true. Our team last season were certainly the best Ive watched in 25 years.

Lets hope he hits the ground running and keeps his confidence high with some early goals. May take time to adjust to pace of PL. Still need another striker, so will be interesting to see who that is.

I've seen quite a few posts saying we now have a better Manager. Which nobody can say before he has even managed a game for us, surely? Pochettino was the best Manager we have had in 20 years in terms of the quality and style of football, and how much the players bought into his methods. He will do really well at Spurs I think.

Last season if MP bad ever taken off Jay Rod, Lambert or Lallana to bring Sharp on then it would have been the most bizarre incident at SMS since the Puncheon poo episode. Hence why the "he could come off the bench for 15mins" stuff is rubbish. It would be a terrible sub and would lessen our chances of winning. Nice lad etc, IMO Sheff Utd would be a cracking move for him, but since joining us his wages will probably have priced him out of most moves.

Lovren is clearly going. Nothing RK or anyone can do to change that. They are probably already in talks for his replacement. Would be great if he changed his mind but surely too many bridges burned. Sounded more positive on Morgan.

Agree with most of this, he nearly always looks to pass forward and make something happen. Clearly down on confidence but thats hardly a suprise. Massively needs a run of games, and to be used in his best position. One thing I always remember is just after he signed Puncheon was interviewed and they asked him about Gaston, and he said something about how good Gaston looked, and you could see he genuinely thought he was class. However, its his last chance, and if he can't get a regular spot without Jay or Lallana then he never will.

Looks like someone who will take chances in and around the area. Up to the rest of the team to create those chances for him.

Thats the benefit of an experienced Manager, and a big name/personality.

Surely we would want another game between Brighton on the 31st July and Leverkusen on the 9th of August? Seems too big a gap, especially with new signings likely to come in around then, would think we would have another game in between there somewhere.

Surely Saints will want to string the news out rather than push it together? More prolonged coverage. Can't remember the last time we had two big bits of news at the same time.
