Rather than centre back, would make a good central midfield player in a 3 IMO.

Blackburn have had some pretty dodgy Managers in his time there. Other than that the comments are almost entirely positive which for a Chairman/Chief Exec of a football club is rare.

If we got a good offer for Lambert and could replace him with someone better for the long term then I could see it happening. He has been average this season as a whole.

Fonte has a slightly less clear opinion. http://www.basingstokegazette.co.uk/sport/10948120._/

Mauricio Pochettino staying as Southampton manager - Official
Saint Charlie replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
Suprisingly he did say the other day it was a case of "when not if" Poch would go and that he would "inevitably" follow Cortese out the door. Bloke is a poor, poor Journalist. Waiting for him to say he "understands John Williams will be appointed CEO" tomorrow. He already copied a Blackmore tweet the other day. Best one in the summer was when he wrote a Daily Star article saying we had bid 15m for Nainggolan and the very next day tweeted to deny our interest in the player. -
Seems he has a good rep, key is what he has been asked to do, and to what level...

Bizarre. Fairly big news which surely warrants its own thread?

Alex Crook article so worth very little. Simply guesswork. -

Good quotes from Cork and shows how vital MP is. -
Ths names mentioned are competent successful individuals which is great. However, the key piece is the remit which these people have. What are the ambitions of the club? What are the goals? Cortese set these and his replacement most likely won't have the same drive he had, but will be a "competent" CEO. The club won't have the same forward thinking approach IMO which is a shame.

Thought all TalkSport listeners are West Ham supporting tradesmen (or cabbies) and nearly always from Romford?

We were going to bring JWP on for Cork then couldnt because of the subs needed for the injuries. -
Can you repeat that one more time?
-
BT replay at the time certainly looked like a touch on the ball was made.
-
He did. Before he got Gaston's ankle.
-
It was unfortunate but its a contact sport and he did get the ball first.
-
Clubs need to keep momentum, no use letting things fizzle out without a fight.

If those injuries are very bad then would think we need to bring someone in. -
He hasnt been that good this season. But he tries for sure.
