LOL some absolute loons on here!

Poor Barry.

Theres definitely an uprising starting against the trolls. Good stuff. If you have such a strong and wrong opinion then it should be highlighted like this.
-
Keep it!
-
Only in whether to put Osvaldo in. Rest of teams picks itself. Sunderland midweek selection will be interesting though.
-
His movement would have troubled them. Really weak bench from an attacking perspective.
-
We were clearly the more composed team and but for conditions would have probably won. A good point all in all. We are a good team.
-
Cheers. Expected back for Hull though?
-
Without him we got 3 not 4. We are a better side when he plays IMO.

Hughes: "In terms of individual quality, I don't think there is much difference between the two teams".

In principle yes, but... Just because we have only let in 3 so far, we could easily let in 2 or 3 in this game if we don't defend well. Of course our defensive record is great, but other teams like Utd, Swansea etc could easily have scored more against us and you are very unlikely to keep this sort of record for long.

Best crosser in Prem stuff is a bit OTT but check the ball in which lead to the corner we scored from vs Fulham - absolutely quality ball from open play. Also put a couple of others in like that.
-
Good to see: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24758142 Does seem he has a little more pace. Doesn't sound like Lambert ever felt AL was the wrong choice as captain either.
-
JWP is such a good crosser of the ball that his crossing and delivery will always be effective. Without it we may not have got 4 points at OT and Anfield.
-
Doesn't get enough goals for me. Is he really any better than Mayuka? Van Wolfswinkel would have been better.
-
I agree with this. They aren't a very good side. Doesn't mean we will dominate them, or win, but no point hyping them up to be something they are not. They struggle to score goals in the league, and have let in more than in recent seasons. If they try to play from the back it will get them into trouble because the defenders aside from Pieters aren't great on the ball.

Yeah but Chambers is the Eng U19s captain. So is Steven Davis. That is two Intl captains as Bobby referred to.

Those pictures look nothing like Wanyama or Schneiderlin.
-
Clearly his net spend was lower, resulting in relegation shortly afterwards.

Are you joking? Type Les Reed into the search bar and see the post above yours for the kind of comments people used to make when he was appointed and shortly after. Here is a start: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?40914-Les-Reed-the-cushiest-job-in-the-world

Those "cretins" shouldnt put off a good debate about someone who has taken a lot of stick but clearly delivered well against the objectives he has. Of course there are lots of unsung heroes but not many with as vital a remit as his. Most likely he also had a big say in the two successful managerial changes.

Role: SFC Director of Football Performance,Development and Support. Board Member Time in role: 3-4 years Responsible for: Scouting and Recruitment - You don't improve as much as we have without bringing in a number of excellent players. Clyne for a £3m compensation fee looks more of a steal every game, whilst 2013 saw undoubtedly our best ever transfer window. Sports Medicine and Exercise Science - Superb record over the last 3-4 years, huge reduction in muscle injuries Youth Academy - Second to none in UK football. In Shaw, Chambers and JWP we three massive talents who will surely all play for England - all on long contracts. One of only 2 sides to qualify fo the latter stages both the U18 and U21 leagues last season Management of the Football Development and Support Centre. New, state of the art training facility on the way Kudos to Les Reed. As we know, Nicola Cortese does not suffer fools gladly, so Reed must have impressed him too.

I think we should put a second string type team out against Sunderland and then if we do get through that put a strong side out versus Chelsea.

MP says Davis are Osvaldo are "better" and will be assessed in the next two days.
