I think that is very harsh. We have signed three players to enhance our first team, two having broken transfer records. All three are first team starters. Not many other teams have done that. In addition, we didnt lose any of our best players like other teams did. None. In fact, we signed a couple on long deals that most outside of the club thought would leave, Shaw in particular. Got rid of most of the deadwood. Only area we might be slightly weaker is attacking wise, but before Jan it would need an almighty injury crisis to be a problem, and thats the same for all teams. We are now miles less reliant on Lambert than last year, to the point where people suggest we drop him. Plus have signed a CB that early signs suggest looks excellent. A- for me. Can only see Spurs and Liverpool that added more strength relative to the size of club etc. Nods to Everton & Swansea, whilst WHU and Newcastle had awful windows. Sunderland just bizarre.

Even yhe top sides struggle with 3 injries to their defence. Arsenal had to play Sagna at CB, United started last year with Carrick there. We have had a great window, best the club has ever had. Now lets get on with the football and enjoy watching our team.

If Lukaku goes to WBA then they aee basically the same as they were last year. Good signing for them, but also shows the problem of loans. They can't replace him. We have gained on them regardless of his signing, and on all of the mid table sides.

Would say RB is stronger for the emergence of Chambers, he and Clyne are an excellent set. Further forward, yes we could perhaps use someone who can beat a man....but overall the window has been very, very good. All teams always want "one more".

Summary so far: - Need to resign Cork from Fulham - If we get rid of Hooiveld we will get relegated - Should have signed Dany N'Guessan to provide width - Better to get players on deadline day rather than during pre season because otherwise you get forgtten by Sky. - Mayuka joins Sochaux on loan and will be a huge miss.

Alpine - I'm sure you did read this. But incase not after the game they asked MP about Cork leaving and he said he definitely wasn't. Also, re Hooiveld there are no stories anywhere to suggest he will either. So you shouldn't have to worry about those.
