The fact Lambert is far superior to Rhodes is clearly relevant. We are looking for a new striker to seriously challenge for Lambert's place in the team. Hence we aren't going to be signing a player that is not as good as Lambert himself.

Who is to blame for the Summer of inactivity?

Lovren and Wanyama have been available for all pre season friendlies and both will start the first game. Not bad. -
Wouldn't pick Rhodes ahead of Lambert or Rodriguez so would be a very pointless signing.

Rhodes is another Billy Sharp. He gets goals in the lower leagues but his allround game isnt up to the PL, hence nobody going for him. Like Lambert he has no pace but unlike Lambert he has no presence, awareness of others or ability to link the play well. To suggest he is better than Damiao is laughable.

West Ham. Stupid transfer policy, weird illiterate owners, a club in the dark ages.
-
Rhodes is so overrated.

What?

Oh, another WUM twitter. Suprised that Batchlor character even mentioned it.
-
Plus mitigation due to the fact the coaching received during his time at the club was most likely awful.

Possibly looking at Moussa Sow according to a Journo on Twitter.
-
Think he still plays in the non league somewhere.

Out of 100 how good was this lad? I will start the bidding at 39. He always tried and was good at roughing people up but actually pretty woeful as a defender. Thoughts?

Ha, that Blakley guy has been trying to get bites for ages. Instead nobody really cares about him. Sad really when you can't even WUM successfully. -

Will this current squad propel us into Europe?
Saint Charlie replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
They wouldn't all get in though because they play in the same position. What you are saying is what everyone else has said, we need a striker. None of Norwich or Sunderland's defensive signings would get near our team, no most of the midfielders. Plus Hooper nor Altidore would start for us. They were good signings for Sunderland and Norwich though given their respective squads. -

Both our signings would get into the starting XI of those teams. Of their buys a small percentage would get into ours. Let others do their business and let us do ours. -
Worst case scenario planning: If SRL suffers a serious injury.

Clearly we are in the market for a new striker. -

There will be a thread like this on every club's forum. So far only 3 or 4 teams in the league have spent more than us. We know what we are doing and the signings thus far have been excellent. -

Hello Barry. Which of Norwich's new signings would get into our first XI? Same with Sunderland? Thanks Barry. -
Might as well close this one.

Remy wouldn't even fit with what we need. All the other strikers we have looked at are more 'lead the line no 9' types. Remy is not a reliable team player.

Still no reports in Brazil of any talks with us. He is a major name there so if its true it will come out. Personally can't see us paying the money they want. We have spent money but never really gone hugely OTT. This would be almost double Ramirez and Wanyama.

Just watched some of his goals from last season. Good movement and excellent composed finisher.
-
Yeah Sharp hasnt been in the thoughts at all.

Agree, Di Santo would be pointless. Might as well keep Mayuka than bring him in.
