  1. I would probably agree with you on two conditions; 1) the players respected him and fought tooth and nail for him. 2) there was no influence from within the club and he was allowed to get on and put his own ideas into practice.
  2. Surely his superb books (found in the fiction section of all good book stores) plus his erudite, informative public speeches should be enough to mean he can forego bothering with coaching badges. Plus the history of what brilliant work he's done so far in the sphere of football.
  3. Unfortunately we are a football club 🙂
  4. Here's an idea. Why doesn't Ankersen just appoint himself as manager because he's pretty much doing the job anyway. Guess he's frightened he might have to sack himself after 6 games. What a result that would be for us fans 🙂
  5. It's not just the wins though it's also the standard of football we served up which was almost unplayable for our opponents. You surely can't fluke 6 wins from 8 or whatever the actual figures were. Hard to make sense of it and I get that people claim he's a one trick pony and teams found a way to stop us but surely the fall in levels and results shouldn't have been so extreme.
  6. Can see Downes making sure he gets a red on Wednesday so he can avoid playing at Fratton.
  7. Every coach/manager SR has appointed smacks of someone controlling things and wanting to maintain that control by bringing in those they can easily manipulate. Experienced manager names have been bandied about but perhaps as a smokescreen because they are never appointed and we always end up with a yes man (maybe Juric was the exception) who is weak and will not challenge the status quo. When each one in turn is sacked they obviously sign an ND agreement meaning they are not at liberty to reveal what really goes on at the football club. It is effectively a closed shop with the truth of what occurs behind the scenes never revealed to us fans. We can all guess who is the chump with his hand on the tiller. No idea how we get out of this seemingly endless spiral of doom.
  8. Love the picture comparing Tonda to Jez of Coronation Street 🙂
  9. If you need to ask the question clearly you have not been paying attention 🙂
  10. Sign him up!
  11. Assuming the new analyst analyses the old analyst who the fuck analyses the new analyst? Presumably they'll have to employ a new, new analyst but then who is going to analyse him? They really haven't thought this through.
  12. Agree. They are neither an adventure capital business nor asset strippers. What they are is a bunch of incompetent clowns who listened to Ankersen's big ideas. He sold them the dream and they now find themselves floundering out of their depth in a business they know the square root of diddly squat about. I don't think they have an exit strategy but Ankersen probably continues to lead them by the nose because his ego won't allow him to admit defeat and quit.
  13. I said this yesterday. No way the fans will want him preparing the team for a trip to Fratton Park if we lose on Wednesday.
  14. Until we identify and clear out the bad apples it doesn't matter who comes in as manager.
  15. 2 good players until, like many others, they were subjected to our fitness and coaching methods. Nearly every player who arrives at this club has a decent spell then regresses. It aint coincidence nor is the fact that quite a few who move away improve rapidly.
  16. Agree, this club has developed a toxic reputation under SR. Remember Jesse Marsh wanted nothing to do with them after being interviewed.
  17. We've been that club before.
  18. Well we know there'll be chants from the Pompey inbreds. I'm predicting constant renditions of 'Sacked in the morning' will be bellowed from the terraces on Sunday.
  19. The players will be at home in their plush mansions or out and about in their flash motors, not a care in the world or any thought for the long suffering fans. Along with others I can think of a few of our ex pedigree managers who would have had the lot of them up at Staplewood today and they'd have been metaphorically hung, drawn and quartered. They'd have had the riot act read to them and been told their fortunes before some hard sessions to teach them some harsh realities. It's all too easy these days and the players are allowed to get away with murder. No discipline and zero accountability so it's no wonder they continually coast along doing the bare minimum.
  20. Agree but Ankersen still dines out on his time at Brentford and there are still people who believe he was key to their success. Solac still seems to respect him so we are stuck with him and his 'If it aint broke break it' nonsense. The man is a fraud.
  21. Imagine he'll be on the bench for both games.
  22. Agree. Tony Bloom is clearly light years ahead of Rasmus Ankersen.
  23. In a way but the key difference is that they don't have access to Brighton's secret algorithm. Not many do even those at their club.
  24. There are plenty of decisions and actions they have taken to demonstrate their complete incompetence but this is probably right up there as a yardstick for their stupidity. I can't imagine there is a worse set of coaches in the Championship and probably not in Div1 either. The sheer arrogance that the SR goons believe this group of coaches can do the job beggars belief.
  25. I expect one of the sports science guys checked the data from the vests players wear these days and told Eckert that Fellows should come off. That's how it seems to work these days. There's no argument or option to see if he recovers and gets his second wind - no, it's get him off immediately. Game has gone crazy.
