No doubt this will be fully covered by the ethics policy of Southampton FC as with any company. I'm sure all staff would have completed ethics training to make them aware of all rules and regs. I know it happened at every company I worked for in recent times.

Only if you believe the mantra that all publicity is good publicity. I'm not so sure they'll want to make themselves look foolish especially given the leniency they show to elite clubs. Double standards won't go down well.

If they do they'll make themselves look foolish and should expect a significant backlash. The more rational among the game's fans MSM and pundits will make their views known.

The vast majority of fans are reasonable individuals and have realistic opinions. If the FA decides to hand out an excessive punishment to Tonda they may find they cop a load of criticism from many quarters.

I don't always agree with Simon Jordan but do in regard to his views on the FA potential punishment of Tonda. He believes that the only route to a heavy sanction is the FA deciding it fancies the attention: "If the FA want to make headlines for themselves, and add value to what they feel that their reputation is going to be burdened by, then they'll do something ridiculous." That's exactly how I see it.

Of course it's relevant because I'm responding to a post citing that fans from other clubs have criticised us. I'm pointing out that it's a certainty that some of those fans clubs have done the same thing whether those fans admit it or not. It's a fact acknowledged numerous times by people within the game one of who I know and trust.

It's all a bit hypocritical because we know for a fact that most if not all clubs have been doing it for years. We were just the amateurs who got caught and Gibbo decided to use it to his advantage to give Boro a second crack at the play-offs. People in glass houses springs to mind.

They were discussing this on TSP tonight. Apparently Tonda is doing an interview tomorrow then Parsons on Tuesday. The panel said they can't imagine Tonda will say anything new but are concerned about what Parsons may come up with.

On Saturday we missed our chances. Had we not done so it would have been a comfortable 3 points. Just one of those days.

I agree our away form has been well short of what is required in terms of results but don't think we are that far off turning it around. Home form has not flattered us it's been comprehensive with 4 straight wins, goals scored 15, goals conceded 4

Some people are missing the point that the -4 looks worse now and impacts more because we have only played 8 games. Over 46 games it has an effect but is far less onerous.

Yet we have won 4, drawn 2 and lost 2 with a healthy goal difference of +9. We have scored 19 goals the second most behind West Ham and let in 10 which is the 5th best. Without the 4 point deduction we'd be sat 4th in the table. Go figure.

Lino missed the offside for their winner. When the guy heads it on the guy who goes on to cross it is offside.

We'd be sat 4th without the points deduction and everyone would be delighted. Over a season of 46 games those 4 points get diluted but over an 8 game run they really hurt us. Today was a bad result but overall we are playing up to standard and I'm confident Tonda will turn the away form around.

Arsenal and Chelsea both goth thumped 3-0 by teams they wouldn't expect to lose to. They'll both bounce back as will we. Yes, our away form is nowhere near good enough and Tonda needs to find a way to improve us on the road. If we take our chances first half we win comfortably today. It wasn't all bad.
