I think Dibling is going to be a great player but we have to accept he's nowhere near the finished article at such a young age. He's got a lot to learn and I'm sure he will do but I'm not convinced he's ready to be the player who a team is built round and when Bally did that with Le Tiss he was already in his mid 20s.

Nice work if you can get it.

Big as ABK is I think if Juric told him he's got to get back out there and start working to show he's worth a place in the team he wouldn't argue 🙂
-
He clearly is fixated on his teams man-marking opponents rather than zones so he'll have his work cut out drilling this into our players because the one thing we never did under RM was man-mark opponents - another major reason we gifted chances and let in so many goals. If he can coach this aspect teams won't find it quite so easy to stroll through us like the proverbial knife through butter and we should become harder to score against. I think Juric will be in for an eye opener when he studies tapes of our games and sees how much work he's taking on. Let's hope he's up to the task because there are some really bad habits that need to be addressed asap.

With where we are now I'm more interested in the performances rather than the results. I've become conditioned to expecting us to lose so am looking at the bigger picture moving forward and hoping to see us completely change our approach for the better over the coming games under Juric. It'll be interesting to see how he sets us up but clearly it'll take time to shake free of the shackles that held us back under Russball.

If he does he probably won't need a visa.
-
Looks like Juric will be taking charge for this providing he secures a visa in time.
-
He's here to try to improve us in many areas and win a few games not get us into the Champions League. Let's at least give him a chance before writing him off.
-
Any idea how quickly he'll be able to obtain a visa?

Any chance we're at risk for points additions?

Oh come on, minor details...don't be so picky!

Is Lucy Pinder still a Saints fan? Asking for a friend.

One thing stands out for me - his style and tactical approach is about as far removed as Russell Martin's as you could get which suits me even if it seems a bit mad.

Some big powerful athletes who can run, jump, tackle and get about the pitch would be a start - if they can play a bit of football as well even better 🙂

That's great especially the video clip of the row (wish I could understand Italian) and I hope SR know what they are getting into with this guy because he certainly will not be a shrinking violet. Interesting six months coming up and, because of the position we're in, I guess we have little to lose and much to gain. Let's see which way it goes.

Just did a check on his assistants and saw that he had a Senior fitness assistant plus 3 other fitness assistants at Torino. Things at Staplewood are seemingly going to ramp up 🙂 Italian Matteo Paro seems to follow him around as his assistant.

You say you did try to explain as if nobody else thought of this or agreed with you which is a strange attitude to adopt. Clearly we are in a desperate situation so not a great prospect for any incoming manager which is partly down to SR failing to act sooner.

Direct, vertical attacks is music to my ears as is double pivot in midfield - Downes would obviously be one but not sure who the other would be so might be looking to bring someone in during next window. Wing backs who can cross suggests that KWP and Sugawara will be the choices. Big target man suggests he'll be keen to see what Tall Paul can do. Dibling and Fernandes as the 2 attacking midfielders. Centre backs any 3 from Bednarek, THB, Wood, Stephens and Edward unless he gives Taylor a try. I think a contract until the end of the season makes absolute sense with the mess we find ourselves in. I'm guessing his agent will have baked in a considerable bonus if he pulls off the miracle of keeping us up - if he does presumably we'll look to give him a longer contract. It's not a sexy appointment but I like the fact that he'll work the players hard and hopefully improve their fitness in some cases. As with any new manager you would hope he has some good contacts which might lead to him bringing in some players he knows and trusts. The days of all friends together enjoying leisurely training sessions look to be over. It'll be very interesting to see how things develop so good luck to Ivan the Terrible.

That'll be a good start.

He'll be in for Baz.

Yeah, he's been making some very good saves in games I've watched. Unfortunately, Ange is another who likes to get his keeper involved with passing out and we all know that Fraser is hopeless at it - he's just too slow and cumbersome with the ball at his feet.
