  1. The reason I think I will be proved right is that Eckert has had plenty of opportunities to switch things up during this poor spell of performances but he's done nothing ergo it will be more of the same today and continue until he finally accepts something is not working.
  2. Will we notice any difference with Garner around? I'm confident that we won't.
  3. Glove wearers will be Scienza (if he plays) and Jander (if he plays).
  4. 68% possession, 3 shots off target, one shot on target 🙂
  5. Not expecting us to trouble Boro going forward and we rarely keep a clean sheet. Can only see a loss here in a game we'll create few chances so expecting a limp performance leading to a one or two nil defeat. Boro won't have to do much to break their run of four games without a win as the Southampton charity bus rolls into town.
  6. Hope not. He's the last type of player we need - another small, non physical ball recycler.
  7. Won't suit our wilting little flowers 🙂
  8. Quality 🙂
  9. Not convinced. Everything about him screams one trick pony.
  10. Agree. He scored a goal and suddenly he's good enough to start against Millwall. Could have told Eckert that single goal didn't turn him into a prolific scorer with a quality all round game. He is what he is and that is pretty poor.
  11. Eric has sussed him out as yet another charlatan who talks a good game but delivers nothing. Steals a living by saying all the right things but nothing to back up the words.
  12. Exactly this - people were basing their approval of his appointment on the six wins from seven games and the football played which was on a level we haven't seen in a long time. It would be unrealistic to think those exact same levels could be maintained but it's the massive drop off in results and playing style that leads people to now say his appointment was a mistake. In addition he shows zero ability to make tweaks or changes that correct the slide which rings more alarm bells. He is not helping the team and he is not helping himself.
  13. Yeah, it's up there with the famous Gordon Banks save from Pele - maybe even better.
  14. The main issue for me is that Eckert appears to be doing little or nothing to resolve the plummet from gaining 6 wins and scoring lots of goal to now struggling for points and chance creation never mind goals. He just carries on with the same set up and tactics which clearly isn't working. So frustrating to watch this happening. His press conferences are becoming tiresome and insulting.
  15. You make some good points and many of us continually point out that we are a very small, weak side apart from the centre backs. This is a major problem yet we hear the club saying they don't expect to be doing much business in the Jan window which frankly is bonkers.
  16. Or Birmingham's goal 🙂
  17. Eckert is doing himself no favours if he wants to continue making a living from coaching football. Rather than try different formations and in game tactical switches he just does the same thing over and over for each match. He's not learning anything, he's not developing a wealth of ideas and game changing theories for his memory bank to call on in the future. He's just proving he's a one trick pony and stunting his development so he'll become just another drab coach with no talent nor the ability to learn from mistakes and from what works. Good luck Tonda because you are headed for the growing pile of charlatan coaches along with the likes of Selles, Still and many others. Maybe these guys just don't have it in them but my gut tells me they could do a whole lot better if they were more willing to navigate away from their safe, zero risk attitudes and demonstrated they can grow rather than wilt because they don't have the balls to go for broke.
  18. Groundhog day....again.
  19. 3 points for a win was brought in to encourage teams to go for broke and it did work at first. Now sides are just scared shitless of losing so we get this boring possession football and lack of excitement. I'd much rather watch us bust our balls and take risks going for the reward of 3 points than the current propaganda football which is basically us trying to make sure we don't lose. Tonda has said numerous times that he will always go all out for the 3 points available in every game - basically this was yet another lie for the fans to swallow. Take the fucking handbrake off and go for it from the first minute - it might work! This will mean leaving out one of the 3 crap centre backs we play every match so another positive to take.
  20. This sort of thing is really both annoying and insulting. Tell the fucking truth.
  21. Do we think he is definitely coming in as number one? I still find it hard to believe Bazunu will be dropped to number two.
  22. This bloke is aware he has to displace Baz I assume.
  23. It's not hindsight. The question is 'was it right to give Tonda the job?' I said yes at the time but he's forced me to change my mind now thanks to his inability to show any ability to adapt the side and change formations.
