Assuming the new analyst analyses the old analyst who the fuck analyses the new analyst? Presumably they'll have to employ a new, new analyst but then who is going to analyse him? They really haven't thought this through.

Agree. They are neither an adventure capital business nor asset strippers. What they are is a bunch of incompetent clowns who listened to Ankersen's big ideas. He sold them the dream and they now find themselves floundering out of their depth in a business they know the square root of diddly squat about. I don't think they have an exit strategy but Ankersen probably continues to lead them by the nose because his ego won't allow him to admit defeat and quit.

I said this yesterday. No way the fans will want him preparing the team for a trip to Fratton Park if we lose on Wednesday.

Until we identify and clear out the bad apples it doesn't matter who comes in as manager.
-
2 good players until, like many others, they were subjected to our fitness and coaching methods. Nearly every player who arrives at this club has a decent spell then regresses. It aint coincidence nor is the fact that quite a few who move away improve rapidly.
-
Agree, this club has developed a toxic reputation under SR. Remember Jesse Marsh wanted nothing to do with them after being interviewed.
-
We've been that club before.

Well we know there'll be chants from the Pompey inbreds. I'm predicting constant renditions of 'Sacked in the morning' will be bellowed from the terraces on Sunday.
-
The players will be at home in their plush mansions or out and about in their flash motors, not a care in the world or any thought for the long suffering fans. Along with others I can think of a few of our ex pedigree managers who would have had the lot of them up at Staplewood today and they'd have been metaphorically hung, drawn and quartered. They'd have had the riot act read to them and been told their fortunes before some hard sessions to teach them some harsh realities. It's all too easy these days and the players are allowed to get away with murder. No discipline and zero accountability so it's no wonder they continually coast along doing the bare minimum.
-
Agree but Ankersen still dines out on his time at Brentford and there are still people who believe he was key to their success. Solac still seems to respect him so we are stuck with him and his 'If it aint broke break it' nonsense. The man is a fraud.
-
Imagine he'll be on the bench for both games.
-
Agree. Tony Bloom is clearly light years ahead of Rasmus Ankersen.
-
In a way but the key difference is that they don't have access to Brighton's secret algorithm. Not many do even those at their club.
-
There are plenty of decisions and actions they have taken to demonstrate their complete incompetence but this is probably right up there as a yardstick for their stupidity. I can't imagine there is a worse set of coaches in the Championship and probably not in Div1 either. The sheer arrogance that the SR goons believe this group of coaches can do the job beggars belief.

I expect one of the sports science guys checked the data from the vests players wear these days and told Eckert that Fellows should come off. That's how it seems to work these days. There's no argument or option to see if he recovers and gets his second wind - no, it's get him off immediately. Game has gone crazy.
-
Agree he is quiet on the field but he strikes me as an immature character - like a student who forms a little gang and is disruptive. Some of his interviews in the past have led me to see him in this light. I just can't shake off this image of him clowning around during training, putting little effort in and influencing others. He never really got over the sacking of his mate Russboy. Maybe I'm wrong and he's nothing like this.
-
If it's been selected to optimise player resale values they clearly need to take a sledgehammer to it.
-
I don't think it is a matter of luck. Their owner uses a secret algorithm that identifies potential signings by analysing various metrics and betting markets helping them find undervalued talents. People may deride this method but it works for them far better then our feeble efforts to copy Moneyball. Brighton are far more switched on at doing what they are doing than we are. They will likely continue to unearth unknown players who they buy cheap and turn huge profits on. Others may think it will inevitably crash but I'm not so sure.
-
Is he Ross's brother?
-
Maybe Lallana was interviewed, didn't like what he heard and turned it down so they moved him to the U21s. Unlikely because I can't imagine he'd have put up with that 🙂
-
Let's be honest none of us can confidently predict what SR will do next. The one thing we can predict is that whatever they do it will lead to further disasters.
-
Hate to say it but it wouldn't surprise me.
-
Well clearly he was considered behind Eckert. Garner is Eckert's assistant hence he gets the gig as interim head coach next.
-
But those far better players become less fit as each week passes. The two biggest things dragging this team down are lack of fitness and lack of physicality. When you have a weak set of players mentally and physically and their fitness is being eroded week on week don't expect them to put up the fight needed to win a relegation battle. They're rolling over in front of our eyes.

When you put it like that....SHIT!!!!!!!!
