Ayling went straight to the ref and reported what THB had said.
-
Bitter and twisted? Not many.
-
Yeah, I get that but, not to excuse it or make light of it, it's a bit of banter in the heat of a football match. Ayling dishes plenty out both verbally and with his feet. THB probably wrong to do it - don't know whether he apologised (probably should have) because in the second half the camera showed them and Ayling was giving THB an 'affectionate' hug 🙂
-
Popular result across the country I'm guessing.
-
Looked like THB said twice to Ayling, 'What you say, what you say?' Pretty minor if so.
-
Crot maybe 🙂

Well done Saints. Players gave their all and that was a well deserved victory to send us to Wembley. We got stronger as Boro got weaker and it showed in extra time. Was dreading a penalty shoot out. The game had everything and how there were no penalties given is beyond me. Now we need to beat Hull. Well chuffed!

Our passing has been poor again.

THB said something to him that clearly wound him right up - he then went to the ref and told him.

Feisty 🙂

I get what you say but I'm not sure that would be accepted. Might be wrong on this but it's the old ignorance is no excuse thing that crops up in the world of commerce and sport.
-
Well I don't know per se but my guess is that, if we knowingly sent the guy, we will be held culpable whether that be directly or indirectly. I'm just giving my view that it'll be worse for us if we admit to authorising any of this.
-
If we admit to authorising a junior analyst to visit Boro's training ground we are in the shit. Whether we told him to do something and he did something else won't wash with any enquiry and won't be seen as an excuse.
-
I think we'll have to do a lot better than that. If we admit to sending a junior analyst and he didn't stick within the rules we are in the shit. The only argument is if we had no knowledge that he'd gone there.

Some complete dope on the Boro forum read our club statement and made this insightful comment, 'In the full statement there is no mention of the manager. I suspect he is finished. I wonder if they stand him down for tonight' How mad is that 🙂
-
I guess the longer it goes on the longer the Boro players will have to keep training through their summer break 🙂
-
One of the key sentences for me is this one; "Having spent a significant amount of time around this football club, I know the character of the people within it.'' Might be wrong but I read this as a subtle message saying that he knows nothing proven is coming out that will stain reputations.
-
Presumably, if we beat them tonight their fans in the ground will all be happy, clapping, smiling and cheering their little heads off.
-
Stephens won't start even if fit. He hasn't played for weeks and it would be crazy to risk throwing him in because he may be physically fit but he won't be match fit. Stick him on the bench maybe.

'There's a suspicion'....in other words there's zero real evidence so no story.
-
We all know this is exactly what they'll do if they lose.

This petition seems to be gathering pace at the rate of a steam roller travelling uphill on Mount Everest.

I believe it originated on a Boro fans forum - it appeared there on the day of the incident. One fan mentioned that a whistle blower was claiming analysts from other clubs knew that Saints had done this before. They named the whistle blower and shortly after revealing his identity multiple Boro fans came on to say they knew of him and that he was just a shit stirrer who is always seeking attention and not reliable. They were very dismissive of him. I've not seen anything other than this and my take is that lazy journalists have joined the pile on without doing any proper research.

A bit more light hearted and far less judgemental than some of the hysteria that's come out from some pundits and journos.
