  1. Not sure he's all that from what I've seen and the Leicester fans certainly don't appear to be unanimous in championing his ability.
  2. I think the other thing to factor in is that this guy comes across as a terrific pro who takes his game really seriously and, in the words of the great Russ, will work and train like a beast. Will Still has regularly stated that we want good players who are also good people and, judging by the views of the Brentford fans, this guy ticks all the boxes. Think he's going to be very popular with the fans once he hits his stride.
  3. All I'm saying is that I think this guy will provide more solid defensive cover than KWP who, let's face it, was excellent going forward but not the greatest at his defensive duties. Ok for you to disagree without suggesting I'm on some kind of illegal substances so calm down ffs.
  4. I remember when Brentford were promoted to the Premier league I knew little about their players but this guy always stood out as an uncompromising, tenacious full back who didn't let much get past him.
  5. He'll be a better and more solid defender than KWP without a doubt. Less flair going forward but sometimes it's handy to have a defender who actually defends.
  6. I'd call it a big upgrade myself but it's all about opinions. We'll see I guess but I'm sure this guy will become a fan's favourite in short time.
  7. Not so little, he's 6' tall 🙂 Love this signing and pretty sure he'll be our best defender by a distance. He comes across as a really good team guy and seems 100% committed to being the best he can so looking forward to him slotting seamlessly into the side and making us more solid at the back. Super bonus signing right out of the blue so credit to the recruitment team for getting this over the line with minimum fuss. Brilliant stuff!
  8. Great to see a happy squad - the difference is we know they've been trained hard in terms of fitness and it is already showing plus things Will Still has said allude to him being aware he inherited an unfit squad of players that needed knocking into shape.
  9. Holiday camp having a laugh and kick about with his mates aka players.
  10. I can believe it because some Rangers fans claim he has said this about their opponents. That's the arrogance of the man - he only plays one way so why would he need to know how their opponents play.
  11. Amen to this. Spot on.
  12. But isn't he a midfielder? Isn't his job going to be as a service provider? For example who provides service for Mateus Fernandes in our side? I'm confused and it's probably me being thick.
  13. Why? How many players thrive with bad service?
  14. Is that because we're stacked with goal scoring centre forwards who will start games regularly? We have a very raw Downs plus a very injured and sickly Stewart. Aside from that we can try AA down the middles as many times as we like but it'll never work. We have been crying out for a good number 9 for too long and all we are given is an injured player in Stewart and a rookie in Downs. Think how much a proper number 9 like Rickie Lambert improved us and strengthened the spine of the team. We continually skirt around this major issue and waste money without improving the situation. Time this crucial matter was resolved.
  15. A centre forward. We can't rely on Downs and Stewart will never be fit.
  16. The vast majority of Spurs fans appear not to want Dibling.
  17. This will be far from easy unless we suddenly click into gear which seems unlikely. I'm expecting us to play 5 at the back meaning another tight game. Take some of the chances that come our way and we should earn a narrow win.
  18. Stewart, fit or well 🙂
  19. But it isn't impossible for us to keep both Dibling and Fernandes for at least this season. I get that Dibling will need to be persuaded to sign a new contract but that's not out of the question if we don't get a decent offer for him. With a couple of shrewd loans we could have a really good side that will stand a great chance of promotion. The club need to show some ambition and not be content to just buy and sell to make a profit. Those are the choices - carry on bumbling along as we are or take a few risks and try to re-establish ourselves in the Premier league. If Bournemouth can do it there is no reason we can't. Poor decision making and lack of ambition has got us where we are and it's about time something changed for the better.
  20. This has been our problem - we always sell our best players. If we sell Dibling the replacements will not be of his standard. It's a sure way to stagnate or take backward steps so the team never improves. I'm not for a minute saying it'll be easy to hold on to our stars but if we always sell them how do we improve and build a side that can stand a chance of surviving in the Premier league?
  21. Maybe not realistic but wouldn't it be brilliant to keep Dibling and Fernandes and build a team around them. Fernandes is already superb and Dibling can potentially be a superstar. Keep them both and get them on the ball as much as possible.
  22. So what is it this week....injury, sickness or broken toenail?
  23. I'm assuming you think we had zero chances of scoring in the first half. That's not what I saw.
  24. Not sure about any of this. I would expect Armenians to be ruthless, hard-headed businessmen who'd screw their grannies over for an extra quid not sentimental softies who'd sell an asset lower as an act of loyalty 🙂
  25. The number of customers for his snake oil is dwindling rapidly. It's not like the wild west where you could just move from town to town. Russboy is in the full glare of the www and he can't run and he can't hide for very much longer. Rangers could be his last payday but what a run he's been on for someone with very little coaching talent but the ability to bullshit with the best of them.
