  1. Yeah, we need all the ball watchers we can pack into our penalty area.
  2. Not sure about that. He's quite short, lacks a bit of physicality and is very slow.
  3. The points I made were all things that they should be practicing in preparation for the match against Doncaster because they get them consistently wrong. Yeah, I do agree they should be made to watch reruns of all the many mistakes made against Boro if nothing else but to rub their noses in their own shit.
  4. I've seen plenty of criticism of the defence. If Bazunu didn't continually let in shots he should be saving I think he'd get a lot more praise than criticism. As we've been waiting four years for this to happen I think the chances are that it isn't going to.
  5. Well, rather than having the poor wee lambs doing circuit training and beep tests perhaps the time could have been better spent on giving goalkeepers some practice at saving routine shots or coming for crosses or reps to teach players to make 5-10 yard passes or how about training defenders to mark opponents rather than space or maybe how to throw the ball to a team mate...it's a pretty endless and soul destroying list isn't it?
  6. Do you really believe what you've written there? Also you seem to have a blinkered view on the levels of preparation we put into games - either that or what preparation we are doing is a complete waste of time and money judging by results over the past season and a half.
  7. Did they actually give a shit for the morale of the fans who braved difficult conditions to make the long trip to Middlesboro? Nah, most of them scuttled off the pitch as fast as they could to get home to the comfort of their mansions. I'm all for breaks in these circumstances if the side is performing but this feels like a kick in the teeth for our long suffering fans and more evidence of the 'who gives a shit' attitude that seems to permeate the football club.
  8. Agree. Would rather hear a statement from the club saying this would normally be a good opportunity to give the players a break but, as they have performed so badly, the coaches and players have agreed that more time on the training pitch would be more beneficial.
  9. As is training to improve especially for a team that has been shit for six games in a row.
  10. Should have been in doing double shifts. Manning is not going to improve fucking sunning himself in Dubai. Bring back the carrot and stick or better still the birch.
  11. Well, it's an upgrade on never.
  12. Will people please stop trying to make excuses for Bazunu. He is shit, always was, has been and will be.
  13. Until Bazunu makes a mistake I think Eckert will stick with him.
  14. This bloke's got to be a plant surely. Either that or a grass in the dressing room/
  15. Agree, I prefer to judge what I see with my own eyes which is a disjointed, disinterested bunch of players too willing to coast through training and matches because they are lazy shits who prefer an easy life. There's no sign of pride or passion when this lot take the field - they're all meek and mild with no backbone and crumble at the first sign of adversity. It's been like this for too long and I suspect there is a clique of players mainly from the Russball days who are unsettling the group rather than knuckling down and leading by example. Just my general observations and could be way off the mark but it's the sense I get. Whatever the problem there is certainly something far from right with this group of players - maybe it's just that they are shit.
  16. Also only 4 goals in 6 I think which is pathetic.
  17. I smell an upset.
  18. Has there been an official announcement on the Southampton FC website or interview? Can't see anything other than on the men's team tab where there is a blank photo frame with his name under it. Maybe they are too embarrassed to make an official announcement 🙂
  19. Too old and too short for us.
  20. He'll be sacked by Chelsea within 12 months.
  21. Well he was a decent footballer - I'd be more inclined to ask him to list his achievements since quitting as a player. Wilcox is yet another who talks a good game and interviews well but is all fluff and no substance. Not convinced he was much help to us.
  22. Solak, Ankersen and all the idiots running SR.
  23. Nah, most of us know how this ends and we'll be proved right. Ankersen and SR have been here long enough for us to realise that most, if not all, of their decisions make us weaker rather than stronger. They have form and the smart money says this appointment will be another unmitigated disaster.
  24. Or more likely it is a load more nonsense made up by a bloke who has no idea and has been spouting crap ever since he first became involved in our club and long before that. As the saying goes, 'Rubbish in rubbish out'
  25. Is he just repeating the recent quotes from Alfie House? Seems strange that Illingsworth has written this now.
