  1. Agree he is quiet on the field but he strikes me as an immature character - like a student who forms a little gang and is disruptive. Some of his interviews in the past have led me to see him in this light. I just can't shake off this image of him clowning around during training, putting little effort in and influencing others. He never really got over the sacking of his mate Russboy. Maybe I'm wrong and he's nothing like this.
  2. If it's been selected to optimise player resale values they clearly need to take a sledgehammer to it.
  3. I don't think it is a matter of luck. Their owner uses a secret algorithm that identifies potential signings by analysing various metrics and betting markets helping them find undervalued talents. People may deride this method but it works for them far better then our feeble efforts to copy Moneyball. Brighton are far more switched on at doing what they are doing than we are. They will likely continue to unearth unknown players who they buy cheap and turn huge profits on. Others may think it will inevitably crash but I'm not so sure.
  4. Is he Ross's brother?
  5. Maybe Lallana was interviewed, didn't like what he heard and turned it down so they moved him to the U21s. Unlikely because I can't imagine he'd have put up with that 🙂
  6. Let's be honest none of us can confidently predict what SR will do next. The one thing we can predict is that whatever they do it will lead to further disasters.
  7. Hate to say it but it wouldn't surprise me.
  8. Well clearly he was considered behind Eckert. Garner is Eckert's assistant hence he gets the gig as interim head coach next.
  9. But those far better players become less fit as each week passes. The two biggest things dragging this team down are lack of fitness and lack of physicality. When you have a weak set of players mentally and physically and their fitness is being eroded week on week don't expect them to put up the fight needed to win a relegation battle. They're rolling over in front of our eyes.
  10. When you put it like that....SHIT!!!!!!!!
  11. That's a massive pool to pick from then.
  12. Assume you mean Eckert. If so I'm not convinced he survives if it goes pear shaped on Wednesday which is highly likely. He needs a big performance from the players and a decent victory or he could be toast. The fans won't want him anywhere near the team being prepared for the trip to Fratton Park.
  13. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be going to Fratton Park next Sunday with Garner as interim head coach. Let that sink in.
  14. Does that mean the team bus will have a big fuck off air horn, flat tyres and the doors will fall off with an explosion and puff of black smoke?
  15. I suspect his bank manager wouldn't agree with you on that.
  16. It's a fair point and you have to question the fitness training and coaching at our club. We buy some good players who progressively get worse the longer they are here and we're seeing that at the moment with Azaz, Scienza and Jander. On the flip side the likes of Bree, Adams, Bednarek have all thrived since leaving. It's no coincidence.
  17. Like the players I couldn't give a flying fuck about this game.
  18. Poor lad, my heart bleeds for him. Maybe he should look around his mansion, check his assets or maybe glance at his bank statements or look at the motors in his garage - should cheer him up a bit. Might also make him feel a bit guilty and act as the leader he is meant to be starting with encouraging more effort on the training pitch.
  19. Semmens is largely responsible for where we find ourselves. He was the one who brought SR to our door. Plus the crap he used to spout at the fans forums. Absolute charlatan.
  20. This in a nutshell. Downes will be the ringleader for sure. He'd be the first one I'd bomb out of the club and should never pull the shirt on again as far as I'm concerned.
  21. These continually weak performances we've had to endure for so long convince me that real work is not being put in at Staplewood. I'd bet it's like a holiday camp up there during training with players half arsed, larking around and just doing the absolute bare minimum. Nothing else explains the absolute lack of fight or commitment on match days or the fact that most of them are constantly blowing out their arses after about ten minutes of walking football. We look the least fit team in the whole of the Championship. It's no wonder we are continually losing or failing to beat some rank average sides and dropping like a stone.
  22. It's that time Dragan, it's that time.
  23. Agree with much of this but would say any clear out should include more than just Downes and Manning. I'd add Stephens, THB and Wood to that group and possibly Armstrong. Would be happy if the lot of them never play for the club again.
  24. You can deny it all you like but the bad apples are there. and keeping them will not end well. Time for some tough decisions to be made for the sake of the football club.
  25. Has disappeared ahead of after match press conference according to Radio Solent.
