  1. Might as well just play him for 30 minutes - after all, the rest only play 45 minutes a game.
  2. Like Semmens I couldn't give a monkeys about the result against Newcastle or where we finish - it's not important. The sooner more fans realise this the easier it will be to take the constant crap being dished up and poor results.
  3. What if the chances against us missed by our opponents were converted? Maybe we'd have even less points.
  4. Anyone who was there see him?
  5. Surely Ralph was involved? Don't tell me these first team squad players were at Staplewood in a competitive mach (ok the opposition wasn't great) and Ralph wasn't there to have a look at them.
  6. It's a pretty good gig then. 6.5 million big ones a year and nobody to bother you, a local news guy in your pocket and no expectations from anyone because, apparently, nobody could do any better.
  7. Hope Semmens gave up his Sunday afternoon to watch.
  8. That would mean we create 4 good chances for him in every game which isn't happening while Ralph is in charge.
  9. Surely not, I mean his legs have gone.....haven't they?
  10. Agree with all of this.
  11. Nail hit firmly on the head.
  12. This is the other side of the coin which many choose to ignore or brush under the carpet allowing Ralph to accept no responsibility while chucking Adams under the bus.
  13. But you're failing to factor in the misses against us almost as though we are the only side that misses chances. All sides do it in every match. You can't slant it in our favour and say we would have beaten X or drawn with Y because the fans of X and Y will simply point out that if they'd taken all their chances the result would have been different. It works both ways. Our problem is more that we don't create anything like enough chances and therefore we are reliant on converting a large percentage of them - it's not going to happen and it probably won't even if we bring in another striker. We are putting too much pressure on ourselves because we are set up to pass backwards and sideways and defend too much so when the odd chance comes along we have to take it. Instead I'd like to see Ralph make us more offensive and take the game to our opponents. Ralph is quite happy to do nothing until the other side score and I just wish he'd be more proactive for a change.
  14. It is too simplistic to say we'd have got points against Wolves, Villa and Palace. It is a one-sided view and it omits the fact that those sides also missed chances against us. This can't all be lumped at Adams' door because a lot of it is down to the way we are set up to play back and square with zero pace and very little creativity. All sides miss chances so we can't only count the ones we miss and ignore those of our opponents. A new striker will not change much.
  15. Palace also missed chances and probably should have had the game won in the first half. Adams is not the only striker in the league who misses chances - our problem is that we don't create enough opportunities so it highlights the few misses. Adams nor anyone else will score many goals for this team the way Ralph sets us up.
  16. Agree Ings was very good for us but even he missed chances. I'm just trying to highlight the fact that a new striker probably won't cure all our woes unless he manages to convert nearly every chance he's presented with.
  17. Those blaming Adams for most of our woes and dropped points and hoping a new striker will make everything right could be in for a rude awakening because whoever it is will miss chances. Every striker misses chances. Haaland, Kane, Ings, Toney all miss chances when they should score. Mitrovitch has scored goals for Fulham yet last night he couldn't hit a cow's ass with a banjo despite getting numerous chances. All these strikers will get far more chances over a season than Adams or any other player in our team so their misses are not polarised the way Che's are. We are such a desperate, poorly coached team with little creativity and our odd chances mainly fall to Adams so we are ultra critical every time he misses. So we expect him to score every single time he has a chance and I do agree he should get a few more goals. But we're in danger of putting the cart before the horse - no striker would score many goals for this team because we just don't create anything like enough chances. That is down to the tactical ineptitude of Ralph and it is his lack of moral fibre that allows him to throw Adams under the bus rather than admitting he himself is getting it very wrong. If people think a new striker is going to cure our woes they are looking in the wrong place and I believe they will be saying the same things but just about a different player.
  18. What if Ankerson evaluates the team performance and makes an assessment of expected position and decides we are worse than the league table shows? I believe we are if I'm honest. Ralph is done here.
  19. But we were set up wrong for the entire first half and the manager did nothing about it. Strikers will miss chances and the ones Che misses are highlighted because we create very little. However, Ralph has to explain the limp first half showing considering that he picked the starting line-up and didn't think it worth making a change until half time. It's not good enough for him just to blame missed chances, he has to take some responsibility for his own failings.
  20. A lot of this rings true.
  21. Semmens would be no loss.
  22. Nothing about your team's totally abject display for the whole of the first half then Ralph? I'd already predicted he'd hide behind missed chances. Typical coward.
  23. Not suggesting Diallo should have been hooked after one minute but he was poor enough to warrant having been taken off after 20 minutes.
  24. If Dragan is anything of a businessman, and he must be to have earned billions, he will surely insist that the manager is sacked and nothing Semmens can say will change his mind. Maybe Semmens should go with Ralph.
