Is sharp good enough for the prem? Is hooper good enough for the prem? Is so and so good enough for the prem? Was ormerod good enough for the prem? Did we rate Kevin Davies when he was with us?
Is andy carroll good enough for Liverpool? A resounding no! FPMSL £35m!! Kenny, what were you thinking?
know youre trying to reduce your waiting time but I don't think you'll find that the first team players and staff are involved in transfer negotiations.
Fee accepted means nothing if he wants 25k a week. We're not gonna pay it. BUT, if we go up, then he can expect a nice wage rise. If he's happy with that then it might happen.
If we're not looking for cb then I wanna know why. Martin was shocking last night. Then again we were shocking in every department last night. This blip in form is now a slump, make no bones about it.
This isn't a fair comparison because the Scottish league is smaller than the english league and the 2 glasgow teams will inevitably 'take' fans away from the smaller clubs.
Instead, take 2 prem league clubs from the same city with similar average attendances to rangers and Celtic. Then, work out the distance of the radius of the clubs in the spl using glasgow as the centre and apply that to the 2 prem teams that you just chose. Then see what league teams are in your radius and what their attendances are.
Why is that people think that player A that cost XX amount is, or should be, better than player B who cost X amount? It's just a valuation that was made and paid at that particular time for whatever reason.
The only thing to ask is could we serve ourselves better by getting 2 or 3 players for the same amount that this 1 might cost.
The best time to strengthen is when you're top. If you can improve your side when you're top then you're really onto something and psychologically, it says a lot to our rivals.
Put it this way, when you're 1-0 up you want to score a second goal right? You don't want to consolidate and settle for 1-0 cos there's always that chance of being caught.
