The thing that makes a good player great is the desire to improve and if one is to improve then he has to acknowledge and accept his weaknesses. As a club, Southampton are striving to be better in everything that we do. We're premier league ready. I feel that lallana can get better and I hope he does. Sometimes being better is just about being more consistent. Producing the goods 8 or 9 games out of 10. The idea that fans cannot criticise, or rather, comment on what they think a players' weakness is or how they could do better baffles me. Football is all about opinions. One manager may see something in a player another one does not. We're no different.

Well, strictly speaking, if whu get only 4 points from their last 4 games, assuming our GD is better, then 80 points will be enough. The fact that we've surpassed that wont matter.

I've read some comments on here saying how Reading don't deserve to be top and that they've just had a good run, that's all. That's insane. Of course they do. Sour grapes IMO. I'm as gutted as the next man cos I wanted the title. It's not over yet but it's looking unlikely. Lallana's play does need to be more efficient. He'll learn if coached correctly but I don't think he's quick enough in the head. As I've said before, if he was half a second quicker in making decisions, he'd be great. He really, really needs to work on that. It's all about the choices you make when you're on the ball. He should watch giggs, almost always makes the best choice of pass or play.

I'm gutted cos, call me greedy but, I wanted the title. I'd say that's gone now unless reading now falter at the last hurdle. Sometimes that happens. Let's win the next two otherwise it's squeaky bum time.

I'm just saying that we need goals from CM too. There's no way that lambert and sharp will get anywhere near 20 each next season in the prem. And because they won't, we need goals from other areas. It's not really about the number of goals, it's about having another point of attack, another threat for the oppo to be aware of.

Over those 14 games? Really? Anyway, I'd still like to see a CM that chip in with 10 goals a season.

Lallana has scored 4 in the last dozen games. Guly none. So, 4 goals from our am's in 12 games. I just feel we need a goal threat from centre mid too. There's no doubt that other teams have learned how to nullify our threats. Force the wide men inside. Cut out the service to lambert. Make them play it into the cm's.

Yes, he is. Which is all he can do. I think the two holding cm's thing can work (I think brazil might have used 2 holding cm's in the last world cup) but I think it requires a lot of discipline. At the moment I think it's a bit of a compromise cos they're (jc, dh and ms) not out and out holding mid's.
