  1. Does no one think we'll beat Coventry? Ffs
  2. Anyone know how many you can buy? Would they want to know if your mate is on the database too? I wanna try and get two tickets.
  3. You'd have thought they'd go on sale today before the outcome of tonight's match is known.
  4. fixed for you
  5. For what it's worth I agree with you and I've been thinking and saying it for ages. However, it's been pointed out to me that it's cos they're holding midfielders, that that's the way we play, and that "look we're top scorers" as if that makes up for it. Look, if they'd scored maybe 6 goals between them, we might be up by now. Hammond and Cork aren't out and out holding midfielders. They don't just sit in front of the back four, and even if they did, do we need two? They're also clearly not attacking midfielders. For me, they need to get better at being holding midfielders if that's the way we're gonna play, but I fear that Hammond won't make the step up next season, unless as I say, he adapts his game and just sits in front of the back four, with Morgan playing ahead of him. We will definitely find goals harder to come by next season so goals from different areas of the pitch (and by that I mean different players) will help. You know, people (opposition fans mostly) say that we're a one man team (Lambert) which we're clearly not, but he brings other players into the game and his movement and ability in the air and on the ground gives us a focal point. There's no denying that we play better when he's in the side, whether he scores or not. Personally, I can understand the one man team jibe.
  6. We have no creativity at free kicks. Since when did a man running over ball fool anyone?
  7. I was gonna say 10 but thought that a bit far fetched.
  8. Well, if this season was another 6 games....
  9. When Liebherr and Cortese took over, a 5 year plan was put in place to get to the premier league. Assuming that we do that on Saturday, 2 years ahead of the plan, I wonder what the premiership plan will be, and whether it will be made as public as the previous plan. 17th?
  10. not based on today's results. We knew that yesterday.
  11. Don't know if it's been mentioned already but boro had a boost going into this game knowing the Cardiff result. Games at this stage of the season should start at the same time. It's not too much to ask is it?
  12. You know, people can say bed wetters, wet fannies, whatever but Christ do saints like doing things the hard way. Reading drop points today, and I think they will vs brum too, and we go and balls it up against a boro team in poor form. Hammond. He's slow and he passes sideways or backwards. That's fine for 70 mins but in the last 20 we needed a change of pace, an incisive pass, some forward movement. A second gear would be nice mr Hammond. And he's the captain! Fox needs to learn to cut out crosses, a full back's priority, and to not get caught out of position. Chaplow made some good runs today, getting into the box on a few occasions. A better finish might have resulted in a goal. Guly might have taken one of those chances but he wouldn't have gotten in that position. Let's hope none of this matters by winning next week, but I for one am disappointed not to be champions. I don't care that we were L1 last season and that we're ahead of schedule and all that stuff. We had a chance to win this div and we failed in the final furlong. They say more lessons are learned in defeat. I hope we learn from this.
  13. Exactly. Happy that the title is not yet decided. Right, now I have to go offline cos I'm putting off the game until I've put my two littluns into bed. Then the tv is mine! COYS
  14. Want Brighton to score
  15. I think that occasionally the best team can lose a game but over a season the best team usually ends up top cos they're the best team. It's quite simple really. With regards to mcdermott's comment, well, the facts back him up, but I don't see that as disrespecting us at all. He's right. But the season is 46 games, not 40. If we could leave out 6 defeats or 5 and 1 draw, whatever it is Reading got in those 6 games, then it would be a different story again. Really, who cares? He's done a great job at Reading. Fair play to them. We're Southampton, let's move on.
  16. Well, if he can miss out the first 6 games of the season then we can miss out 6 bad results too yeah?
  17. Christ! That means 4 helicopters. Oh no, wait......
  18. Agree. It might even affect how we play. If Reading get anything but a win, we might just go for it a little bit more. Perhaps. And yes, I know a win doesn't make them champions.
  19. Reading to lose the next 2 games.
  20. Woot! Well done Bristol. Almost there now. Come on forest! Sneak a goal. I can dream cant I?
  21. Come on Bristol!
  22. 3-0 will do. Save any more goals for sat.
