There's been plenty written about this in other threads, but yeah, FYI, I agree. I happen to think its f.uc.king disgusting. Of course there are those that will tell you it's just a shirt, but it's not, it's our identity, our tradition, and anyway, it's not just the shirt, it's the shorts and socks too; they're red too in case anyone hadn't noticed, which is what makes this change different from the '84 kit.

When wolves were in the prem I mean. Probably taken a wage drop now.
-
I have no idea what our wage ceiling is, maybe our top earner is on 25k pw, but if we want proven prem quality players then we're gonna have to increase it. I know we've signed some players with great potential but all those have come from lower than prem level and have most likely increased their wages by coming here. We can't expect a player like Jarvis, who was probably on 50k pw to sign for 25-30k.

Just got mine. Block 28 Kingsland. Had no idea they were on general sale, so thanks for that.

We know we can do 442 but 433 is new to us and something NA is going to want to use in some games. Doesn't mean we're gonna play it all the time. As it is new to us it makes sense that we've played that way in pre season. Who knows what goes on in training?

This can't be true can it? Crazy IMO. -
Those background images are way too big in file size. Or at least the one I looked at, the grass one, is around 1mb.

When I buy tickets for a game I always ask for 'halfway up'. Anything above halfway, IMO, is a decent seat. Yes, I have prefered areas of the ground but it's more important for me to elevated. I particularly dislike the first 6 rows or so. So, bearing that in mind, rows 1 to 6 in the kingsland centre would not be premium to me.

That Swansea kit is classy wi the gold trim. I like the west brom kit too which I guess is just a blue version of the Sunderland kit, both being Adidas. Seems to look nicer in blue though.
-
Best of luck Dan. I feel that he has come in for some slightly unfair criticism on here. He's a good, solid player who gave everything when called upon. Fox isn't that much of an improvement IMO and his defensive positioning is suspect to say the least. As has been said, there was never any drama from Dan, a player who just got on with it. Reminded me of nick Holmes in that sense; an unassuming player who gave everything to the cause. Goodbye Dan. P.s. at least he can still wear the new saints kit!

If finishing is his weak point then he ain't gonna play as striker. Better to have him offering a threat from the wing.

Was just gonna post this myself.

Glad to hear a CB is in talks but I do wonder if we could aim higher. I don't know who cos we don't look like prising a CB from another PL team; we haven't signed anyone else from a PL team, so we're clearly looking for promising, young players from other leagues and I don't know the European leagues enough to pick out players, although I thought kjaer (?) looked good in the euros.

10th James ward prowse to break through and S.Davis to be mr.consistent.
-
That must mean billy sharp is now worth 4m yeah? One good game does not make a player. I'm sure he's had other good games of course which is why he's valued as he is, but one more good game should not make a difference.
-
You cannot judge a player on 45m IMO. Butland stopped some shots, that's what keepers do. I'm not saying he's not good but let's not go over the top about it.
-
That's the question. If he's in the dutch squad, I'd say yes. Young went to Man U for 18m wasn't it? I don't think you'd get the other two for less than £10m what with the young and English player Tax.
-
Dunno. Would you get Adam Johnson for 7.8m? Or Ashley young, or Aaron Lennon?
-
That says that we bid 6m euros, which is around 4.6m

There'll be a surprise when MOTD pans to the bench and doesn't see Nigel Pearson there.

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
Webby replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I've said this before, our club is undertaking some huge changes under the control of NC, and some might not like whats gonna happen (for example, if they get priced out of going, or the new kit colours). At the very beginning he stated he wanted CL football, and I don't think he's a man that fails at what he strives to do. I don't know about CL myself but the wheels are in motion; stadium expansion, increased wages, higher transfer fees, staplewood, the kit change etc etc. It's happening. I say hold on tight, it's gonna be a hell of a ride! -
Ignoring your double negative, it's better to have one striker that you can get the ball to, than two that you can't, with the extra man in midfield. 451 is not necessarily a negative formation.
-
I had a dream a couple of weeks ago that we beat city 1-0 in a smash and grab victory!
-
Form and formation will dictate who will play. IMO, no matter which keeper we happen to sign, Davis will start, barring injury. I think he has deserved his chance. I think we'll play four at the back... Clyne, fonte, jos and fox, however, against City I don't know whether we'll play 433, 442 or 451, so that will obviously affect the players we play.
