  1. Yeah, Huth is 28, probably peak age for a CB.
  2. Hangeland is 31 and has a year left on his contract. 3m I'd say.
  3. Neither would be worth 6m though would they?
  4. Unfortunately, from a business point of view, I can see this happening. However, I think it would be a big mistake to sell him to a prem league rival, especially one that will be scrapping around the bottom half of the table. I don't want to see him go. Same goes for Sharp.
  5. Sounds to me like he's been told to keep his mouth shut about transfer developments. He said "I know what's been going on" and "we have to keep our mouths.....shut"
  6. I can see the appeal of this but I don't like to see Lallana in the middle. I think there's too much work for him to do there, stifling his creative side a little.
  7. I think with this formation, the front 4 if you like is enough, so Davis and Schneiderlin should just sit and protect the back four, try and win the ball and give it to one of the 4 in front of them. Also, Lallana and Lee are quite capable of dropping back to create a 4411 situation.
  8. 4231...like this: I think Ramirez and Lambert could rotate their positions, as could Lallana and Ramirez. I think Lallana would really click with playing alongside another skilful, quick footed player like Ramirez. I can see lots of clever interplay between those two.
  9. I'd been thinking about this myself and it's a good point. As you say, if we got the players that we've targeted, and they play, we'll have 4 players that played last season. Our philosophy is to buy players better than what we've got so any players coming in will definitely be vying for a first team place, but that's not to say that those replaced don't still have something to offer. The question is, can we survive without adding more players?

Maybe we're looking to move Chaplow and Hammond out, in which case we would need to strengthen the midfield options.
  11. Or, you know, like, 4 players in one day.
  12. I've just been on the ticket site and you need to click the DRAG button, then you can drag the seated area around in the window. You cannot scroll up and down. Hope that helps. Note: I'm using Safari on a Mac. Other browsers may behave differently.
  13. Right, yes, I was there that day. Wasn't sure if that was his debut or not.
  14. Yeah, Shearer for me too. Did he score a hat trick on his debut? Shout out for Tim Flowers too who went on to win the title with Blackburn. Edit: Mark Wright too
  15. Well, if shaw is good enough, he should be playing now. Fox is a liability, so he needs replacing. I'd let him Go personally.
  16. 30% sell on to Penarol? I can't see us agreeing that. That's a lot. Would be better to pay the additional 1.5m now. If he's as good as reports say and we sell him for say 21m, we'll lose 7m to Penarol.
  17. We can cross skirtel off the list then.
  18. If we signed Goodwillie, where would he play? He's a striker isn't he? We already have RL, BS, JR and TL already competing for the one striker position that our 433 offers.
  19. There is something you can click that enables you to scroll. I can't recall what it says but take another look, there is something there, maybe like a little arrow or something.
  20. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense. We have Lallana who played LM for most of last season. He's a creative, attacking midfielder. Why not play him there? The fact that he's not a CM is even more reason to move him forward so he can take on defenders rather than battle with midfielders. JRod should be used as an alternative to Rickie; to come on and replace a tiring Rickie or to start and be replaced by Rickie. Sharp gives another option too.
  21. You could've just said 7.62 miles per hour. Strange that you should mix the measurements.
  22. I thought opta or prozone but I didn't think they were public, so I'm surprised to hear this stat on here.
  23. Spot on. Pretty much what I thought about Carrick 5 years ago but he's got much better (by being more efficient in his play, with and without the ball), so maybe Morgan will improve. Incidentally, where can I find these stats?
  24. I concur, but I'd love to know Guly's stats, cos I feel he covered a lot of ground too. I bet someone like Scholes covers less ground than Morgan but does much more with the ball. At the moment, I'm failing to see what's so great about him (Morgan).
